The film can be appreciated as a good attempt to explore a powerful topic with some heavy duty actors. The story line is new and the performers in the key roles Prithiviraj and Murali have done a good Job. But what takes a reverse turn is the p00r narration and script which fa!ls to to keep the pace and interest fo the film especially in the first half.Why the screen play has to be so elementary? The bunch of comedians seems to have nothing better to do , but to be honest the makes you giggle at times..Another is Padmapriya. Totally flops with her urbanised lover girl's performance and looks. How ever , the director needs an applause on his attempt
to do something a bit different. Cheers! Sharpen your editor's scissor and upgrade your script writer , believe me , you would be better off!!

My comments are related to comparing both Telugu and Tamil version. Some may get offended, if so, please ignore. 
I have seen both tamil and Telugu (Aadavari maatal .. AMAV). Since originally from Chittoor district, we can understand both Telugu and Tamil, I decided to see both movies. Venkatesh is known for remake of Tamil movies to Telugu. First time, Venkatesh movie is converted to Tamil (not voice dubbing). Both movies are good. Comparing - Dialogue delivery of main hero and heroine are good in Telugu than Tamil. I did not like showing the Brahmin Family. Rather it would have been village movie. The ending is good in Telugu than Tamil ... (It is changed completely the last 30 minutes to suit the tamil audience) Normally, I like Nayanatara than Trisha. But if you see the telugu version, Trisha performance as Software Project lead is marvellous. The looks are luring than the Nayanatara.
Raghuvaran acting is better than Kota. Comedy is better in Telugu than Tamil. Location wise except the house of Brahmin (family) rest is all Tamil good. Last but not least, both versions are really good. Try watching some sequences in both like Office scenes, Lagna patrika song, ending 10 minutes ..

A boring day, lot of work, come back home watch the second half of S`x and the City. The whole fast life, rekindling of jolted love. Well photographed hollywood singature film. 

Still dissatisfied. Can't go to sleep. Ahhh! what the heck let me just watch another movie. Seen this, seen that, ummmmm let me try watching "The Last Lear", great caste, supposedly a great director, tried to watch it the other day couldn't last more than 10 minutes. Let me try a dekhi today, dang can't watch it again. Can't seem to go past 10minutes at a time......

Oh there is another title that I haven't seen "welcome to sajjanpur", Dang, the first 10 minutes of the movie ahhh barely making through. Some funny portions....Sreyas is doing his job....he's quite ok.....Oh this is that sweet girl from "Main hoon naa", but she looks even better. Ravi Kishan, he is such a poof, but I never thought he could be this entertaining. My God, this movie is growing on me. It touches your heart. Dang Sreyas is getting even better. The plot is building up. Every character is filling in. There is something that's wholesome to the movie. Dang the director has a style that\'s so unique. Its so simple yet touches on such emotional complexities. My God this director is but great.

The story arcs so well, the knots are tied so well. Everything in this film seems to be so wholesome. Wow, it really touches the heart towards the end. Such a beautiful movie when you weren't even expecting to watch one.

Not entertaining dark yet a heart touching movie. Movie that is full of meaning and emotions. I loved the movie. Wish I could even think like this. You will feel like hugging someone once you are through with "Welcome to Sajjanpur". a sure 5 star for this one.

hi friends...though i m a mammukka fan,i admire lalettan also...he has given us good films in the recent past, but i m afraid to say that this film is a DIS*STER... i went to see this film,expecting some quality music and some good and vintage acting from lalettan...the music didnt disappoint me nor did the locations...but the acting skills of lalettan and nithya were really low class...nithya can be excused bcoz its her first film...but lal...it was like watching a drama,lalettan's dialogue delivery and expressions were pathetic...we had to tolerate this stupidity for 2-2.5 hrs....lalettan has really grown old and age is showing on his face,he must accept that and choose roles accordingly....the director had indeed done a very bad job just like lalettan...they were aiming at the awards i suppose and i will be more than surprised if this film gets an award of any kind...

Alright,Santhosh Subramaniam movie is all about a family story, between a father and a son.How's the chemistry works between them,how he respect his dad and so on.It is a kind of movie which will make us think how to understand our dad and for dad,how to understand your son.Moreover this movie is very decent and no glamour.This is the plus point of this movie.From the beginning of this movie,the moment you start to watch you will just stick at your place and you won't move at all till the end.BELIEVE ME!Everyone can watch this movie and believe me or not, i have watch this movie for more than 5 times with my family. My dad don't really like to watch tamil movies unless it is a Kamalhassan movie,then he will watch. But i was so surprised when my dad sit next to me and watch this movie from the beginning to the end. In addition,Genelia has done a tremendously different character which sounds very cute and the character is really suitable for her.
