silver jubilee celebrations:
Silver
Jubilee celebration of the film Varsham was held at Silpakala Vedhika
on 1st of November. The function glittered with celebrities:
Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Mahesh, Tarun, Prabhas, Trisha, M.S.Raju,
Srihari, R.Naryana Murthy, Krishnam Raju, Shyamprasad Reddy,
K.L.Narayana, V.V.Vinayak, Devisri Prasad, Sirivennala, Giri, Allu
Aravind, Trivikrama Rao, Suresh babu and many others. The event is
also witnessed by thousands of fans, who flocked the venue. Smitha,
Devisri, Venu Madhav, Gundu Hanumantharao and others peformed few
programs to entertain the audience.
Looking at the crowd Krishnam Raju commented that he still sometimes
wonder why he moved from filmdom to politics. He complimented Prabhas
on his achievements. He also appreciated M.S.Raju for his touch in
making the films. Megastar Chiranjeevi also spoke on this occassion.
He compared his Khaidhi to Prabhas's Varsham. This came in the context
when Chiru mentioned about the initial disappoinments for Prabhas. He
said that though Prabhas's first few films didnot click much, Varsham
really proved what he is. "Khaidhi gave a good break for my
career and similarly Varsham is a good break for Pabhas", said
Chiranjeevi. Chiru also complimented Trisha for her looks and
performance. M.S.Raju handed over a 5 Lakh cheque to Krishnam Raju for
Charity work.
