Celebrity
rally against piracy on 29th :
As
reported by TT earlier, a celebrity rally was conducted today in
Hyderabad. The rally is conducted to show the determination of the
film industry in eradicating the piracy. Piracy is hitting the run of
the films badly. In the recent past, some of the actors and fans took
to action themselves in curbing on the piracy. Today's rally is
marched by celebrities including Chiranjeevi, Mohanbabu, Nagarjuna,
Venkatesh, Pawan Kalyan, Srikanth, Nagendra Babu, Jayasudha, M.S.Raju,
Thanikella Bharani, Giribabu, Sivakrishna, Ravali and others. Many
noted directors and producers took part in the rally. The rally
started at press club located in Somajiguda and proceeded to Lakeview
guest house. They handed out a forum to CM requesting action on the
piracy and also on tax cut for the low-budget films. Later Mohanbabu
spoke to the press. He said a committe will be formed before 6th
November. Also he announced a charity show by the celebrities that
will raise funds towards CM fund. More details will comeout on this
very soon. For a question from the reporters on the action that would
be taken until the 6th of November, referring to individual action
raids, Mohanbabu commented that they would not take law into their
hands. For a following question on if he condoned the action of
Maheshbabu in this regard, Mohanbabu skipped on the question.
