Founded in year 2000, Big Screen started off as a Film Distribution Organization. Our Belief that we have so much to bring to the table for those films that we take under our wings helped us not only to sustain in this competitive field but also helped us in creating a brand image for ourselves.
In its history of 6-years Big Screen has distributed an eclectic array of drama, comedy, art, social and science fiction films… be it Bride & Prejudice or Alien V/s. Predator… Masti or Black…. Qayamat or Ganga Jal...
Year 2006 was a landmark year for us since we ventured into activities related to the development, financing and production of films with a mission to support the initial vision of high quality independent filmmakers with creative collaboration at every step of the process.
Our first production venture ‘Omkara’ based on an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello broke the conventional mould of Bollywood into smithereens & did it with a panache that encompassed all departments of film making. The film was critically acclaimed all over & has been entered in prestigious Film Festivals like Cairo Film Festival, Marrakech International Film Festival, Palm Springs Film Festival. After Omkara...we have produced movies like No Smoking & Sunday...One Two Three is our latest movie venture which will hit the theatres very soon, after that there are 3-4 movies & an animated flick lined up...
