G.Komnas was born in Athens,Greece in 1968.At the age of 12 he started taking piano lessons.His love for music and theater led him to his first composition for a play in 1995. Then he composed music for many theatrical performances and some commercial scores.In 2004 he composed the music for the CD-ROM "World Heritage" under the label of UNESCO HISTORY OF ART CLUB.In 2004 he composed the music for the play of an Italian writer MAURA DEL SERRA, "Agnodice".In 2006 he wrote the music for the play "Through Wyeth’s Window". The play was presented by APERTURE TECTONICS THEATER at the PRINCE MUSIC THEATER of PHILADELPHIA on September 2006 and was directed by Paul Blore.On the 9th of May in 2007 the composer, conductor, professor of composition at Boston University and the President of Greek Composers Union Theodoros Antoniou rewarded G.Komnas for his composition "The Walls ".In 2008 he composed the music for the short film "THE MAN WHO CONQUERED THE LIFE" which is the official gift from Athens to Beijing for the Olympic Games.
George Komnas is the contributor of IONIAN THEATRE since 1996.
He is a soloist of VIBRANDONEON which is a traditional Italian music instrument. |
