Want to be in films? Click here!
By just logging onto the Internet, directors and producers can contact aspiring actors directly.
WANNABE ACTORS so far had two options to get noticed in Kollywood.
Hang around the streets of Kodambakkam. Or gatecrash into a top film studio. Cinechance.com, an e-commerce venture, presents option C.
This free portal hosts photos of aspiring actors, supported by a profile with details about the candidate. By just logging onto the Internet, directors and producers can now check out the talent pool and contact aspiring actors directly.
Many models and cine stars are already using this service including Malavika (`Peralagan'), Divya Dwivedi who acted in the Tamil film `Campus,' Telugu film actress K.P. Radhika, Ajit Chintaman Bhagat, who appeared in the Hindi film `Company' and models like Rajveer Malik and Huzefa
Garari.
Site for all
Sriram, the Chief Operating Officer of the portal, says, "The service offered by Cinechance.com is not limited to the film industry alone. People from other fields like television, modelling and advertising also visit the site. So those of you who can't make it to the celluloid world still stand a chance in any of these other fields." All this at no extra charge.
If any aspirant wants to get the immediate attention of cinema bigwigs, he or she can utilise the `Special member' channel in the site. This gets them a stamp size photograph in www.cinechance.com with a hyperlink to the member's personal page, with their profile and photograph. This has an entry fee though.
Besides, the site also provides information about the requirements of various companies in Kollywood, Bollywood and ad agencies abroad. Incidentally, most of the requirements are for new faces in acting.
According to Mr. Sriram, the company has also launched another site called kamaraj.com on the life of the late Chief Minister.
