Vishu 2008 releases : 
As of now all the Top Stars in Malayalam having at least a release for this Vishu 2008. 

. Mammootty's Annan Thambi will release on 11th of April. Anwar Rasheed is the director. Lakshmi Rai and Gopika playing as heroines.

. Mohanlal's Innathe Chintha Vishayam with director Sathyan Anthikad will also reach the theatres on April 11th or a day after. Meera jasmine is the heroine in Innathe Chinthavishayam. 

. Dileep's "Mulla" created much expectations among the audience, his last movie was a flop and he need a hit. Dileep, Meera Nandan starring Mulla is directed by super hit director Laljose. 

. Action Star Suresh Gopi's "Bullet" with different characterization for Suresh will also hit the theatres for this Vishu.

Sreenivasan's "Pachamarathanalil", Jayaram's "Paarthan kanda Paralokam" are also in the list.

Suresh Gopi Bullet :
Police specialist Suresh gopi doing a Sanyasi role in his new film Bullet. Nizar coming back to malayalam cinema after a gap. The story is about an astrologer accused for murdering a famous singer.  "Bullet" is a thriller movie and having Kalabhavan Mani, Vijayaraghavan, Jagathy Sreekumar and others in the star cast. 

Innathe Chinthavishayam Mohanlal film :

Mohanlal - Sathyan Anthikad film titled as Innathe Chintha Vishayam, Meera jasmine is the heroine and the film scheduled for Vishu.  

Mammotty in Vande Matharam :
Mammooty's new bi-lingual film is Vande Matharam. In malayalam it's Vandematharam and in Tamil it's Aruvadai. Action star Arjun playing another lead role in this movie. Sneha is the heroine to Big M and Shradha Arya playing as heroine to Arjun. It's a police story with patriotic background. Film produced by Henry of Pankaj Productions. In the 80's Henry produced a movie in Malayalam. Nearly after 2 decades he is coming back to Malayalam. Sneha's glamour stills in this movie are all hot ! There is also an unconfirmed news that, Mammootty and Mohanlal would do a new film with the combination of "Hello" and "Mayavi" but not any official announcement yet.

Three Minus will make a Plus ?
Team consisting of Director Jayaraj, Actors Suresh gopi and Jayaram will make a new film and the official rolling of the movie will start in the mid of March. Director Jayaraj experiencing a downtrend in his film career and his latest movies washed out at box office, and regarding Jayaram, giving a flop movie becomes his regular and Suresh gopi also not able to give a hit. Jayaram, Suresh gopi and director Jayaraj gave blockbusters but their current movies not going well at box office. They are all coming together for a new film, we hope this film will be a blockbuster and victory for the actors as well as the director.
          
Actor Sreenivsavan, new superstar in Market ?
Actor Sreenivsan's recent films doing well at the box office and he is the new superstar in the market and producers like to utilize his market value. Srinivasan presently doing Pachamarathanalil and his film with Director Haridas titled Aravindante Athmakatha will start rolling from May. TA Shahid scripted the story, Suganya, Lal and Jagathy will be in the star cast. Another important film would be with Sathyan Anthikad. Srini - Mohanlal - Sathyan combo worked well in the 80s and the director might do a film with this box office king soon, announcement awaited.

Reel Wifes :
This is a round up about the reel wives of film stars. Model and Actress Shwetha Menon playing the heroine role to Mohanlal in Aakasagopuram, an offbeat film of Mohanlal .Shwetha, a former Miss India-Asia Pacfic appeared in few films in Malayalam and Hindi and currently busy in modeling. Praveena acted in several films and her latest one is Rock N Roll Cameo appearance, playing the wife role to hero and character artiste Kalabhavan Mani in Swarnam film. Venugopan directs the movie Swarnam. As per sources it's a remake of tamil film "Chidambarathil oru appasamy". Another pair is Sreenivasan and Meena, their chemistry worked out well in Udayananu Tharam and Kadha Parayumpol and this pair coming together for the third time which will start rolling from next month. Suresh Krishna directs the film. Srinivsan's another film is Pachamarathanalil, Padmapriya playing the heroine role and directed by Liyo Thaddhevoos a debutant director.

Cycle, pedaling fast !
The recent release "Cycle" starring Vineeth Sreenivsan, Bhama, Sandhya and Vinu mohan in lead is getting good reviews across the state and this racy comedy flick might create a new trend in malayalm movies. Jagathy Sreekumar, Murali, Sai Kumar, Cochin Haneefa, Shammi Thilakan in the star cast of Cycle film. The young new comer Vineeth and others carry the movie on their young shoulders. Script writer James Albert and Director Johnny Antony combination worked well. James Albert was the script writer of "Classmates". Well, we hope that the success of this film might give producers a new courage to start films with newcomers.

Gopika, a new addition in Annan Thambi :
Director Anwar Rasheed's Annan Thambi film with Mammootty as the hero is fast proceeding in Pollachi. To the surprise, Gopika has been signed for the heroine role now, another heroine is Lakshmi Rai. Mammootty playing dual role in this movie. So, Gopika and Laskhmi rai are the pairs for Annan and Thambi. Remember, Gopika - Mammootty starrer Mayavai was a great success at box office. Gopika celebrated her birthday last week, a birthday gift by the director ?

Malayalam script attracts whole India 
The Malluwood super hit movie Kadha Parayumbol starring Mammootty, Sreenivasan and Meena in the lead is attracting all the Indian film industries. The film is already started remaking in Tamil and Telugu. Rajnikanth, Pasupathi and Meena playing the lead roles in Tamil, whereas Rajni, Jagapathi Babu, Meena / Tabu playing in Telugu. Now, the latest news is, the movie would be remake in Hindi too. The badshah of bollywood Shah Rukh khan is interested with script and as per the sources he is ready to produce and act in the movie. OK, who is going to direct ? For the surprise, Multi-lingual director Priyadarshan would direct the film, Priyadarashan showed Shahrukh the original Malayalam film and the superstar was impressed with story line and the characters of mammootty and srinivasan. So, there is a much possibility that Shahrukh and Priyadarshan would do the film in Hindi. Already Manichithrtahz and other malayalam movies had been remaked in Hindi. Through this news, we can come to a conclusion that Writer Srinivasan has dominated the Actor Srinivasan.

Super hit Hero & Super flop Hero : 
Prithviraj is the hot young hero in malayalam & tamil who simultaneously giving success in both the languages. On the other hand Jayaram is also a bi-lingual hero, but his recent films not doing well in the box office. Eventhough he is not the only person to be blamed for the flops, his selection on the scripts is bad. Prithviraj is currently doing Vellithirai in Tamil and the film getting ready for release. In Malayalam he is doing Thalappavu, and another new film with Director Shafi, Rafi-Mecartin as script writers, the movie will be launched soon . He gradually rising his career towards the Top star post. All the best Prithvi. Jayaram's latest film Novel with Sada was also a flop. Jayaram presently doing tamil movie as police officer in "Saroja" directed by Venkat Prabhu. Jayaram's comedy movie Paarthan Kanda Paralaokam is in progress and directed by Anil. Another film of Jayaram is with actress Gopika, the film will start rolling from Feb 15th and direction by a new comer Akku akbar. Gopika is a lucky star in malluwood, we hope atleast the luck of Gopika will help Jayaram to give a super hit film. All the best Jayaram. 

Gopiettan is no more :
Veteran Malayalam movie actor Bharath Gopi is no more, Bharath popularly known as "Gopiettan" to malayalees. Bharat gopi was hospitalized last week after heart attack while in the shooting spot of "Dey Engotu Nokiya". Gopi made his first film with Adoor Gopalakrishnan debut movie "Swayamvaram" in 1972. He won National award as best Actor for Kodiyettam film. Gopi acted in nearly 100 films and produced a few movies. Padhyam starring Mammootty was produced by Gopi. As per mammootty 'His space can never be filled'. That's true.

Anwar Rasheed the luckiest director :
Anwar Rasheed seems to be the luckiest director in Mollywood. He is doing movies with super stars just like that. After Rajamanikam with Mammootty, at present Anwar directing "Annan thambi" again with Mammootty in lead and the film is due for Vishu. Rasheed directed Mohanlal in Chotta Mumbai and the film suffered an initial set back but climbed the ladder later, which was also a hit movie. Now, the latest news is that Anwar will do a movie with Mohanlal again. This film would start after the release of "Annan Thampi". Sree Bhadra films will produce the new film and Sachi - Sethu of 'Chocolate' fame will be the script writers.

This Republic day, mallu fans can watch Mohanlal & Vimala Raman starrer "College Kumaran" and Vineeth Srinivasan's debut film "Cycle" directed by Johnny Antony. Mammootty's Rowdram release would be a day before republic day. Mammootty plays a police officer role in Roudram after a long time. Jayaram - Sada starring "Novel" will release on Jan 11th . Sada debuts into Mollywood, she already done an item number in Malayalam. Meera Jasmine - Dileep starring Blessy's "Kolkata News" would hit the theatres by Jan 18th. Suresh Gopi's "Sound of Boot" would release on Jan 11th.

Kolkata News on Jan 18th :
Long awaited Dileep / Meera Jasmine Starring "Kolkata News" will reach theaters on Jan 18th. This film has been delayed for various reasons, now the producer able to release it for Jan 2008.
 

Navya Nair's 2008 : 
Navya nair films in the year 2007 were all disasters. Her movie Alibhai with Mohanlal, Kitchamani MBA with Suresh Gopi and Mayyakannadi with Cheran ( Tamil) were all left the theaters without any trace. She is now acting in SMS with Bala which will be her first release for 2008 in Malluwood. Navya Nair also doing a Tamil movie with director Jayaraj titled "Sila Nerangalil" and another movie with actor Srikanth titled "Ettappan". The recent news is that Navya nair got an opportunity to pair with Suresh Gopi again. The new film is "Kavyam". Will start rolling from Feb.
 

Watch 'Cycle' in March :
Mallu film goers can able to watch the 'Cycle' ride from March in Theatres. The film starring debutant Vineeth Sreenivasan, Vinoo Mohan, Sandhya and Bhama in lead will reach the theatres in March 2008. Noted character actor Sreenivasan's son Vineet is the lead man in the movie Cycle. Vineeth is a well known play back singer and he sung songs in Udayananu Tharam and Rasathanthram. The film is directed by Johnny Antony who directed CID Moosa, Kochi Rajavu, and Thurupugulan. The film shooting went on well in Mumbai and now the cast and crew getting ready to fly to Germany to shoot the final portion of the film. James Albert's recent movie "Classmates" as script writer is still running and it's a blockbuster hit movie. He is the script writer for "Cycle" too. So, the mallu film audiences eagerly awaiting the release of "Cycle" film.

Katha Parayumbol and Romeo rules the chart :
Latest new films released for Xmas - Katha Parayumbol and Romeo rules the chart, Kangaroo by Prithviraj is in 3rd position. Romeo Song "Killi Chundan" is in the first position of music chart, followed by "Maambulli" from Katha Parayumbol - Music by Jayachandran sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan. "Mazha manimukile" from Kangaroo is in 3rd position, music by Saji Ram, Sung by Vidhu Prathap and Rimi Tomy. Vidyasagar's "Chandamama" from Rock N Roll still able to occupy the chart in 4th position, Singers Anitha and Rijia. "Istamalle" by Alex Paul from Chocolate is in 5th position. Regarding box office chart - Mammootty's Katha Paryumbol able to be in 1st position, Sreenvisan proved himself as a good script writer and actor. Director Rajasenan's Romeo is in 2nd position. Pirthviraj's Kangaroo is in 3rd. Sibi Malayil - Mohanlal movie Flash not upto to the mark as expected, so it's in 4th and Prithvi's Chocolate is in 5th.

Annan Thambi Twins : 
Megastar playing dual role in Anwar Rasheed's Annan Thambi film. It's not only going to be a dual role but it will be Twins, so director Anwar was in search of twins in the age of 10 for the childhood character of Mammootty. The screening test held at Kochi and Kozhikode. First screening test held at Kochi on Dec 9th and the second one at Kozhikide on Dec 22nd. Finally, Anwar got the twins. They are Sonu and Monu living in Kozhencherry in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. Anwar Rasheed screened nearly 157 twins and he feels Sonu and Monu are the right pairs to do the childhood of Mammootty in Annan Thambi. The shooting of the film will start from Jan 5th in Pollachi and will release for Vishu 2008.

Suresh Gopi as police officer and collector :
Action star Suresh Gopi getting ready to reach the audience as an investigative officer through "Sound of Boot" film. Shaji Kailas directs the movie. The film was previously titled as "Boot", but the name was already booked by some other person and as per sources he demanded a big amount to transfer the registration, but the producer of "Boot" movie Pyramid Saimira refused his deal and renamed the title as "Sound of Boot". Suresh Gopi plays an investigative officer role, who make his full effort to find out the culprits behind a murder in a hill station. Suresh, plays as a Collector in his forthcoming movie titled "Collector", he plays the Kochi Collector role and work against the real estate mafia gang. Actress Mohini is the Kochi Mayor in the film. Directed by Anil C. Menon.

Prithviraj as Robinhood :
The rising star of malluwood Prithviraj is having a lot of good movies in his hand. The shooting of his most expected movie Thalappavau has been completed and the team is under post production works now. The movie would be screened on theatres from March 2008. Madhupal directed the movie and Prithvi plays a young activist role in Thalappavu. This is a real life story. After Kangaroo, Prithvi is currently working on a Producer Prakash Raj's tamil movie, From Jan 2008 Prithvi will work for Director Fazil's tamil film. Robinhood is a new movie which would start rolling from April 2008. Sachi and Sethy the duo penned for Chocolate film will pen Robinhood too. Joshi is the director. Prithviraj's film career is getting in the right route and his graph rising steadily.

Swapnamalika Next film by Mohanlal :
Actor Mohanlal's next film is Swapnamalika. The muhurat of Swapnamalika held at Vismaya Film studio here in Thiruvananthapuram. Mohanlal plays a 55 year old magician role and actor Prithviraj likely to be play the role of his son. The relationship between the magician and his son is the basic story line. Meera jasmine plays female lead role. K.A.Devarajan is the director of the movie, his daughter and 10th Std student Aparna Karimpil debut as song writer through Swapnamalika. Unnikrishnan is the script writer. "Yes, this is something unique, the role which I play. Basically, the story delves into the philosophical realms and the trials and tribulations of a magician. It is a commercial film. The story also looks into the relationship of mine with my son and also with my assistant, played by Meera Jasmine," said Mohanlal, who was unwilling to reveal anything more.

Director Kamal in "2 Crore Apple Megastar" :
Leading malluwood film director Kamal has been roped in as the director of "2 Crore Apple Megastar" reality show. One of Kerala's leading TV Channel Jeevan TV getting ready to launch a reality show for male and female singers and dancers. Total prize money worth Rs 20 million. The contest will be open to youngsters in the age 15 - 30. If you are interested get in touch with the TV Channel before Jan 15th. Playback singer Chithra, actress Sukanya and music director Deepak Dev will be the jury team.

Malluwood getting ready to serve the Xmas treat to the audience : 

 
1. Mammootty - The mega star of malayalam industry will hit the theatres with his "Katha Parayumbol", starring Mammootty, Meena, Sreenivasan and others. Directed by Mohanan. The film will be released on Dec 20th.
 
2. Prithviraj : The young actor is in hot news now-a-days. His "Kangaroo" with Kavya Madhavan and Jayasurya will also release on Dec 20th.
 
3. Mohanlal : Mohanalal's Flash with director Sibi Malayil will also be released on the same day Dec 20th. Parvathy is the heroine. Mohanlal badly need a hit now.
  
4. Dileep - Dileep, Vimala and Samvrutha starrer Romeo will be release on Dec 14th.
 
There is going to be a tough competition this Xmas. All the major heroes' films are going to hit the theatres. Dileep's Romeo will release 1 week before others.

Sibiu malayil Flash :
Director Sibi Malayil and actor mohanlal getting ready with their "Flash" to entertain the audience. Flash is a psychological thriller subject and music composed by a debutant Gopi Sunder, Camera by Sajan Kalathil. Lal and Sibi's last movie was released five years back and big flop one. Now, Flash getting ready for Christmas release.

"M" Directors in "T" Films :
In the past, directors like Fazil, Priyadarshan made tamil movies. Now, some more directors are also interested to direct movies in Tamil, due to big budgets. Usually Tamil and Telugu film budgets will be high comparable to malayalam. So, Malayalee directors looking for opportunities in other regional films. Siddhique just finished his 'T' movie "Saadhu Mirandaal". Shaji Kailas is getting ready to remake the Chintamani Kola Case in "T" with new faces, and the mega one is by director Jayaraj, he just completed "Sila Nerangalil" with Navya Nair. Malayalam film directors always trying to do movies with good scripts, but in Tamil and Telugu only few are there and most of them doing fancy movies which attracts large crowds to the theatres. So, we hope Malayalee directors will do their best in Tamil. 

Meera in Demand : 
National award winner and top actress Meera jasmine is in demand. She's having good reputation in south indian films and the latest news is that she is going to do a film with director Kamal. The title is not yet decided, few young stars would appear with meera. Kamal and meera done 3 films earlier. The actress just finished her portion in Nepali film with young upcoming actor Bharath. She is doing Calcutta news with Dileep and another film with Mohanlal going to start next year.

Meena and Kushboo returns :
Actresses Meena and Kushboo returns back to Malluwood. Meena is working in Katha Parayumbol with Mammootty. The film is co produced by Mukesh & Sreenivasan. The film story is all about a film star who happens to meet his old buddies as barber and teacher. Meena's another project is with Jayaram in Magic Lamp., both films will hit the theatres this month. Kushboo's film is with Mohanlal and the movie is not yet titled. Sathyan Anthikad is the director. Kushboo plays a character role while Meera jasmine playing the lead role. 

Asin launched a Social networking portal :
Malayalee girl Asin, the top actress of South Indian regional films and the brand ambassador of CavinKare brands launched a new social networking portal "Spinz.in" . The portal would be a tough competitor to Sunsilk gang of girls. The executive director of the company Mr.Ramesh Viswanathan said that the website has been launched as it will be easy for a brand to set a two way interaction with its consumers and can become the mainstay of brand communication in future. Asin is the brand ambassador for "Spinz" Talcum powder which hold 6 % market share.

Shaji Kailas Boot :
Director Shaji Kailas and action star Suresh Gopi's new film Boot will hit the theatres by Dec 7. Another investigative movie by Suresh. The script written by Rajesh Jayaraman is now under post production work. The film shooting was completed in and around Idukki. Star cast of Boot film includes Rajan P Dev, Biju Pappan, Lakshana, Krishnakumar and others. The only hurdle for the film is the title. Another producer holding the title of the film but the producer of Boot - Pyramid Saimira trying to solve the problem at the earliest and to release the movie on the same title "Boot".

Shot at Nights : Ottakkayyan a new film :
Malayalam film directors usually take risks and come out with difference. Journalist turned director Indugopan is not an exclusion. His debut movie Ottakkayyan is a film with difference. The first point about the movie is that, all outdoor scenes are shot completely at nights. The film is a story that happens entirely in a single night. The story is about two youngsters, members of different fundamentalist groups get trapped in an island after committing a murder and the island is connected to the main land only through rail track. Cinematographer M.J.Radhakrishnan done a amazing camera work in this film. Ottakkayyan film was shot in 15 days. Let us welcome new trend in films.

Poonvannan with Mohanlal in Flash :
Mohanlal's film "Flash " directed by Sibi Malayil casting a new face to malayalam and that's Ponvannan. He got a re-entry in Tamil industry through Ameer's Paruthiveeran. Now, director Sibi Malayil bring the realistic actor to Malayalam. Ponvannan playing the role of a Kalaripaitu master and grand father to the heroine..Mohanlal playing a businessman role and the script of Flash by S.Bhasurachandran. Parvathy is the heroine. Other cast includes Jagathy Sreekumar, Jagadeesh, Saadique, Saikumar, Indrajith. Camera by Sajan Kalathil, Lyrics by Rafeeque ahmed and music by Gopi sunder. Flash is the Christmas release of mohanlal.

Malayalam films dominates South in Indian Panorama IFFI
Malayalam movies, which is famous for its realistic picturization and stories dominated the south by sending 5 films to the Indian Panorama section at the 38th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2007. The films are Adoor Gopalkrishnan's Naalu Pennungal,  Director Shyama Prasad's Ore Kadal starring Mammootty, Meera Jasmine. Lenin Rajnedran's "Rathri Mazha" starring Vineeth and Meera Jasmine. Renjith's "Kaiyoppu" with Mammootty. Babu Thiruvalla's "Thaniye" starring Lakshmi Gopalaswamy and Nedumudi Venu. 

Dileep Romeo :
The young and enthusiastic actor Dileep is not having a release for the past 5 months. His last release was "July 4" on July 5th which was a super wash out at box office. His Calcutta News scheduled for Onam was also not yet released, his Romeo directed by Rajasenan would be available on screen from December 3rd week. Director duo Rafi - Mecartin produced this film. Heroines Vimala and Samvrutha are in the lead for Romeo

Pritviraj in Thalapavu :
The malayalee young actor Prithviraj is doing Thalapavu, a real life story happened in Wayanad. Pritvi plays a naxalite role. The story based on the fights between the Wayanad landlords and labourers. Lal plays a constable role and Pritvi as naxalite. Meera krishna plays the heroine role. Camera by Azhagappan and music by Alex Paul. A debutant director Madhupal directs the film. Thalapavu would be a mile stone in Pritvi's film graph.

Satyan Award to Comedian & Veteran actor Innocent :
Veteran malayalam actor and comedian Innocent was awarded the Satyan Award for his services to the malayalam movies. Innocent recalled his journey as an actor in this field. Innocent made his entry 3 decades back with a starting salary of just Rs 15/-. Now he has crossed nearly 500 films and still going. He is the president of AMMA ( Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes ) for the 3rd consecutive term, and he like to relieve from this position. Mammootty and Mohanlal coming together for a movie titled "Yugapurushan", a docu - fiction film aims at re living the ideals and ideology of great leader and social reformer Sree Narayana Guru. Mammootty plays as Narayana guru and Mohanlal as Vivekananda. As per mammootty, he was not very keen to do the role as he don't fit the physical appearance of the guru. But for the compulsion of the producers and others he play the role. The film will be directed by R.Sukumaran and produced by AV Anoop. Both Big Ms will together for another movie for the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes ( AMMA ) even before Yugupurshan starts rolling

 
Jayaraj's "Of The People " sequel of "For The People" :
Director Jayaraj gave the super hit movie "4 the People", and its sequel "By the people" was not upto the expectation. Now, he is again coming to us with "Of The People". The shoot for the movie has been completed in 20 days and will be released on the last week of November. Arjun, Arun and Padmakumar is in the star cast, new girl Anjali from Kannur plays the heroine role. Another heroine is Jayaraj's wife Sabitha, she is a costume designer by profession and debut as a new heroine through this Malayalam film "Of The People". The film is all about the corruption in Education department. Vinu Thomas is music director. 

Kalabhavan Mani in Khaki uniform again :
Kalabhavan Mani dressing up in Khaki for Kerala Police. The title of the movie is "Kerala Police". Mani became an independent star through Ben Johnson, and he played a police character on the film. Now, he is again doing a police officer role after a long gap. The film is directed by Chandrasekaran. DKM Group from Bangalore will produce the movie. The star cast includes Nedumudi Venu, Siddhique, Innocent, Muktha, Vijayaraghavan, Shammy Thilakan, Augustine, Suraj, Aishwarya and others.

Vishu 2008 releases : 
Mammootty and Mohanlal, the big stars of malluwood joining with directors Anwar Rasheed and Sathyan Anthikad respectively for Vishu 2008 releases. Anwar Rasheed gave super hit movies 'Rajamanikyam' and 'Chotta Mumbai' with both "M's". Now, he is joining with Mammookaa for Annan Thambi. The hero plays dual role as brothers in this malayalam film. Sathyan Anthikkad's Rasathanthram with Mohanlal was a big hit, now the combo coming back again. The film is not yet titled. Meera Jasmine is the pair to "M". Both films, Annan Thampi and Anthikkad's film will start rolling from Mid January 2008.

Dileep's Calcutta News :
Dileep, the variety actor's new film is "Calcutta News". Dileep plays the character called Ajith Thomas, a TV programme producer-cum-reporter. The story backdrop is Kolkata. The first schedule has been shooted in Kolkata and the second schedule in Kochi. It should be a Ramzan release, but delay makes the movie to reach theatres only for Diwali. Meera Jasmine, Rain in Bengal and Kerala were the reasons for the delay. Meera Jasmine plays the heroine role in Calcutta News Film, she plays the character called Krishnapriya, a young woman who lost his husband in Kolkata. The movie is a love subject with suspense. Blessy directed the movie. He is a different type of director and according to him, this movie is also a different one from normal Malayalam movies. Ramzan releases : Pardesi Vs Nasrani :
Big "Ms" fans will have a special treat this Ramzan on October 12th. Mammootty's Nasrani with Joshy will release on October 12 afternoon, all over Kerala. Malabar area in the north of Kerala, will usually dominate the box office. Mammooka's film will get big opening in this area, and for Ramzan - there is no question or doubt. Nasrani is long awaiting mass masala entertainer. The big competitor to Nasrane is Mohanlal's Pardesi - the story about a man who becomes refugee on his own country. Mohanlals plays as Valiyakathu Moosa in Pardesi. Suresh Gopi's Black Cat and Prthiviraj's Chocolates are also in the race.

Kavya in Rikshakaaran :
Mammootty's new film has been titled Rikshakaaran, MGR's Rikshakaaran was a super duper hit in Tamil and now Mammootty chosen the name for his new movie. M.Padmakumar wields the megaphone for this movie. The film previously titled as Theepetty Chandran, the character name of Mammootty in the film, but due to the "non commercial" title they changed into Rikshakaaran. Kavya missed the chance to act with Big "M" in Nasrani, now she grabbed the opportunity to act as the heroine to "Big M" in this movie. The expected to hit the floors by November. The scriptwriter of the cinema is T A Raasaq.

Dileep & Gopika in Romeo :
Dileep and Gopika paired up in Chanthupottu, Pachakuthira which was a hit. and the pair is again on 'Romeo'. The film will be produced and written by Rafi Mecartin and directed by Director Rajasenan. Dileep's Kolkatta news with Director Blessy is under post production work and will release for Diwali. 

Rowdram Movie :
Mammooka's next movie is Rowdram with Director Renji Panikkar. He plays as a Police officer in Rowdram. Mammootty's character name is Narendran and he is an Assistant Police Commissioner in this movie. A new mallu girl Manju plays the heroine role in this movie. Manju a mallu girl living in Chennai with her parents got this chance through a family friend. Rowdram is an action based film on recent political situation in Kerala state. The King Team back : 
The team of 'The King', which was a super hit movie a decade back in malayalam is now back again. Mammootty and Director Ranji Panicker brings us the film Shouryam as a Christmas release. Mammootty's next release is Nasarani with Director Joshy. His movie with Sreenivasan's script has been postponed and mammootty choose Ranji as his new director. Shouryam will be a action investigative thriller. This will be a mass commercial movie with action and punch lines to cheer up his fans.

Meera & Lohitha Das - Gopika & Mammootty :
It's not an unusual one, Meera jasmine, one of the best actress in India is busy in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu films. Meera's mentor is Director Lothitha Das, now they both come together again for Sembat. Lohit directs the movie and the heroine is none other than meera jasmine. The director says that the film is inspired by Silapathikaram. On the other side, After Mayavi, Gopika & Mammootty is playing the lead roles in a movie yet to be titled. Indrajith Kalabhavan Mani :
Is it Onam only for super stars ? No, Kalabhavan mani is also in the race. Mani's movie Indrajith which is not yet released due to various reasons is now trying to taste the Onam success. Mohanlal's Ali bhai already running successfully in theatres all over Kerala, another superstar Mammootty's Ore Kadal with meera will hit the theatres by this week. Eventhough Mani played a role in Mammootty's Nasrani which is in Q for Ramzan, producers of Indrajith trying to get theatres in Kerala to release the film for Onam. Young and hot Priyanka who showed her performance in Director Shankar's 'S' Production film "Veyil" is stepping into malayalam films as a second heroine. Navya nair plays the lead role. Suresh gopi, the action king is not able to give a mass super hit movie now - a -days. But, this Onam is special to suresh. His Black Cat directed by Vinayan would release on August 15th. Kichamani MBA, a Comedy movie will be released on Onam day. We can able to see a different suresh in this movie. In the mid of july Mammotty's Mission 90 Days with Director Major Ravi is due for release. The film is an action thriller ( based on Rajiv's murder case ). Another film is Director Lal jose's Arabikatha with Sreenivasan and a Chinese girl in lead. Actor Suresh Gopi is in a tough situation to prove his position is ready with "Nathiya Kolapatta Ratri" a murder mystery film is scheduled for third week of July.

Mammootty plays an army officer role who investigate the murder and nab the culprits. The film has been shot in 29 days. Mission 90 days is a commercial movie. Director of the movie is Major Ravi who gave us Keerthichakra with Mohanlal, Jeeva and Gopika.

Tug of War between Producers & Technicians in Malayalam :
Malayalam film technicians call for indefinite strike, the one day strike turned to be an indefinite one after Producers Association rejected the plea by MACTA to hike the pay of Technicians. Producers feels that the hike will increase the production cost and atleast Rs 10 lacs per film will be an added burden to a producer. MACTA comprises 18 different sections of film industry workers - right from drivers to directors. Several initiatives from different sections of the film industry have failed to iron out the differences between the two associations. The producers association, meanwhile, will meet Wednesday.

Mohan lal's new film and Onam release Alibhai has been launched. Mohanlal celebrated his 47th birthday and Alibhai movie launch at the Kinfra film and video park campus at the outskirts of Trivandrum. The veteran actor has worked in more than 300 films in his career spanning over 27 years. Alibhai will be shoot mainly in Pollachi, the lucky location for mohanlal. Director of this movie is Shaji Kailas and the film will be released on Aug 15th 2007 - Onam release.

Oomen Chandy & Jagathy, Jagadish Family function :
Kerala opposition leader Oomen Chandy goofed up between the wedding dates of the children of two ace Malayalam comedians Jagathy Sreekumar and Jagadish. Chandy, a senior Congress leader, had marked May 6 as the marriage date of Jagathy's daughter in his diary while it was actually actor Jagadish's daughter who is to wed that day. Incidentally, Jagathy's daughter is also to marry the son of legislator P.C. George, who heads the Kerala Congress-Secular party.There was confusion when Chandy met George April 27, the golden jubilee celebrations of the Kerala assembly's first sitting. The former chief minister told George that he had set aside May 6 for his son's wedding.A surprised George told Chandy that the wedding was yet to be fixed.
