Review of Kyon Ki ; Music by : Himesh Reshammiya With
'Aashiq Banaya Aapne', 'Koi Aap Sa' and now 'Kyon Ki', Himesh Reshammiya is hitting the marquee this season with spontaneity. If 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' was Reshammiya's singing tribute to the great Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, then 'Koi Aap Sa' was collage of his hit rhythms and tunes submerged into new tracks. 'Kyon Ki' is another musical presentation from him that confines his musical genius to sentimental soundtracks. The film comes out with finest of acting talents of the film industry - Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Salman is leading the "Khan brigade" with back to back hits ('Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya' and 'No Entry') while the other two Khans' (Shah Rukh and Aamir) had hard luck with massive flops ('Paheli' and 'Mangal Pandey') this year. Jackie Shroff, Rimi Sen and Om Puri are the supporting stars who play pivotal roles in this soulful love saga that comes out with the tagline - "It's Fate". Veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan shifts his territory from frothy comical entertainers ('Hulchul', 'Hera Pheri') to emotional love story. 'Kyon Ki' is "Gautam Kumar" presentation and is produced by Sunil Manchanda and Mukesh Talreja. Eminent lyricists -- Sameer and Sanjay Chhel -- have penned the lyrics for the film. 'Kyon Ki' has nine original soundtracks that can be heard on T-Series. (
