Nobody has the right to criticize Rajnikanth : Bharathiraja
Rajnikanth's recent interview to a TV Channel regarding his speech related to Hongenekkal issue has created ripples among the film industry and his fans. Some of his fans in Kovai teared his banner cut-outs and posters of Kuselan. Sathyaraj, T.Rajendar, Sarath kumar expressed their condemns for his interview. But directors like Bharathiraja, Seeman, Ameer, P.Vasu and producers like G.Sekharan, KRG supporting Rajnikanth for his stand. Bharathiraja said that nobody has the right to criticize rajni.

Aayirathil Oruvan resume shooting :
Director Selvaraghavan's Aayirathil Oruvan is under production for a long time. After the settlement between the director and the producer regarding the production cost, the film shooting going to resume from Wednesday. Tamil film producers council intervened in the matter and made a compromise between them. Paruthiveeran fame Karthi playing the hero role and R.Parthiban playing as a Villain for the first time. Reema Sen, Andrea playing the lead roles.

Kuselan in Karnataka with 10 prints :
Rajnikanth's Kuselan got the green signal from the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to release in Karnataka but with some restrictions. KFCC allowed the distributor to release only in bangalore with 10 prints. Kannada organizations like Karnataka Rashtreya Vedika opposing the release of Kuselan in the state because of Rajnikanth's speech in Hogenekkal issue. But the KFCC President Jayamala rejected their pleas and allowed the producer to release the movie. Pyramid Saimira got the all India distribution rights, but in K'taka Niranjan got the rights at a cost of Rs 2 Crores. Rajni fans in Bangalore started their celebration.

Don't call me Ilaya Superstar : Dhanush
Dhanush urged his fans not to call him "Ilaya Superstar" ( Junior Superstar ). He says there is only one Superstar in film industry and it's Rajnikanth. Simbu, the rival of Dhanush already using "Little Superstar" title before his name since he was a child artiste. Thanush inaugurated a blood donation camp with his fans. He is now busy in Padkithavan, Tamanna playing the love interest. Padikadavan would release this September. 

Nayanthara MMS Clip
Nayanthara, the kerala beauty who is dominating south indian film industry filed a police complaint regarding the recent Simbu - Nayanthara MMS clip. She alleged that it's a fake one by her rivals who is in jealous because of his status.
  
Nisha Kothari in Karthigai
Amoha alias Nisha Kothari replaced actress Malavika in "Karthigai" film. Malavika had alleged harassment by the producer Anjaneyulu. Recently Nisha danced in the filmfare awards function in chennai. 
   

Vivek in Padikathavan :
Padikadhavan is the new film by actor Dhanush. Suraj of Maruthamalai fame is directing the movie. Tamanna is the heroine. Suman playing the villain role. After some  mis-understanding between Vadivelu and the director, now Vivek has been roped into the movie to replace vadivelu.  

Aegan would release this September :
As per the latest news in the Tinsel town, Ajith's Aegan film would release this September. Raju sundaram debut as director through Aegan. 

Kuselan would release this July 25.
 
Varalakshmi Vijayam : No, it's not a film title. Actor Sarath kumar's daughter Varalakshmi entering film world. She would do the lead role with Simbhu in Poda Podee.

Rama Narayanan elected as the President of Producers Council : 
Director Rama Narayanan elected as the President of the producers' council. Out of 532 votes Ramanarayanan got 394 and his rival Panchu Arunachalam got 138 votes. Director S.A.Chandrasekar and 'Anbalaya' Prabhakaran elected as Vice-Presidents. Sarath kumar, S.Ve.Sekhar, Kushboo, Vijayakanth and others cast their votes. Police force with JC and AC deputed in the election premise to diffuse the tension between the groups and observers nominated by the court watched the election process.
    

Kuselan audio launched : 
Kuselan audio released today. K.Balachander, Bharathiraja, A.R.Rahman, Arjun, Jagapathi babu, Mani Sharma and other film personalities attended the function. Music director G.V.Prakash kumar thanked KB, Rajni and P.Vasu for giving the opportunity to compose the music for the film, and thanked his Uncle & Guru A.R.Rahman for attending the function.

Arjun's Thiruvannamalai :
Action King Arjun's new movie "Thiruvannamalai" directed by Perarasu is under production. Perarsu is famous for his mother /  sister sentiment subject, but this movie would be a different one as Arjun playing the lead role. Yes., It's going to be an action movie. A new face Sania playing heroine to Arjun. Perarsu's favourite Srikanth deva composing songs.

Asin, busy bee in Hindi !
Actress Asin doing "Ghajini" with Aamir khan in Hindi, and she already signed agreement with leading companies to work as brand ambassador. 17th July, Gopika's Marriage :
Film actress Gopika is getting ready to marry a NRI on 17th July in Kerala ( Kothamangalam ). Gopika's debut Tamil film was "Autograph" directed by Cheran, after that she acted in Kanna Kandean with actor Srikanth, Emmagan with Bharth, Thotti jaya with Simbu, Aran with Jeeva, Veerrappu with Sundar C, Vellithirai with Prithviraj and so many films. Gopika acted in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada movies.

Radha Mohan going to Hindi
Director Radha Mohan is the new addition in the list of directors moving to Bollywood. He is going to make his "Mozhi" in Hindi. As per the latest news Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor would do the roles did by Prithviraj and Jyothika respectively in Tamil. Boney Kapoor, film producer ( Actress Sridevi's husband ) purchased the remake rights. Tamil film director AR Murugadoss doing the remake of "Ghajini" with Aamir Khan.

. Producer Oscar Ravichandran confirms the release date of Kamal's Dasavatharam. It will release on June 6th simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Oscar Films directly releasing the film in Hindi and Telugu without any distributors to avoid any complications.
 
. Kamal hassan daughter Shruthi's debut film as an actress would be delayed. 
 
. Director Bala's Naan Kadavul film is in post production stage, but the director yet to announce a confirmed release date. This film would be a turning point in Actor Arya's Film career. 

 
Vadivelu, again as a hero :
Comedian Vadivelu's debut film "Imsai Arasan..." as hero, was a blockbuster, but his recent "Indralokathil..." was a big flop. Vadivelu now concentrating on comedy roles after the flop, but the news is, he is again going to put make-up as hero. Television director Raj would be the director and Abhirami Ramanathan would be the producer for this full length comedy movie. In the meantime, Vadivelu playing dual role in Director Hari's "Sewal" starring Bharath in lead.

6il irunthu 60vathu varai :
This is not a film title of Rajni but the cost of production of "Sultan, The Warrior" animation film directed by Saundarya Rajnikanth and produced by Ocher Studios - Adlabs. Rajnikanth appearing in full length as an animated character in this movie and he finished his part of work, the trailer of the film already released in front of the media, months back. As per sources, the movie was started with a small budget of Rs 6 crores but now the cost of production reached Rs 60 crores, distributors are interested to buy the film for nearly Rs 2.5 billion. This proves that Super star's daughter is a good business woman too. Saundarya successfully made a deal with Warner Brothers to produce films in south indian languages, as a first step she talked with Ajith and director Vishnuvardhan to produce Billa - 2, and this film would start in the middle of 2009. 

Jeeva's Thenavattu :
Young actor Jeeva already showed his acting skill through films like Ram, E, Rameshwaram, Katrathu Tamil etc., now the young man ready to show is "action" skill through Thenavattu. The film is about a Madurai boy and his life, Jeeva making his entry into the action hero list. Bharath made his entry as commercial action hero through Palani film, Simbu and Dhanush already doing action movies. Now, a new one in the list. The audio release function of Thenavattu held recently at Sathyam cinemas. Srikanth Deva composed the songs for the film . Poonam Bajwa making her debut as heroine in Tamil through this movie. Some of the guests are : Ramanarayanan, Jayam Ravi, Seeman, Ramesh ( Actor / Jeeva's brother ), Directors Perarasu, Subramania Siva and others. Na Muthukumar as lyricist for the film. Thenavattu directed by VV Kathir.

Director KS Ravikumar with Vikram and Sarath kumar
Mega Director KS Ravikumar would come with two films this year other than Dasavatharam. One film would be with Sarath kumar, they titled the movie as "Jaggubhai", yes, the same title of Rajni film announced and dropped some years back. In an interview, KSR told that Rajni expressed his acceptance to use the title for the Sarath film. Shriya going to play the lead role, while Sneha going to play as wife to Sarath kumar. Another film would be with Actor Vikram, name of the film not yet announced and searching for heroines. As KSR, Rajnikanth and Kamal working on their new projects, there will be no KS Ravikumar - Rajnikanth, KS Ravikumar - Kamal hassan films would reach theatres for atleast 3 years after Dasavathaaram.

Madhavan in Guru En Aalu :
Maddy's new film has been titled as "Guru Enn Aalu", it's a remake of "Yes Boss" hindi film. Mamta mohandas playing the heroine to Madhavan, Jayaram, Abbas, Vivek in the star cast. Produced by KRG and directed by Selva. Another new film launched recently was "Muthirai" going to be direct by Actor Sreenath ( who appeared in Ullam Ketkume and other films ), starring Nithin Sathya, Daniel Balaji, Lakshmi Rai and Manjiri in lead. Muthirai produced by Aneez, wife of Director and cinematographer Jeeva ( late ). Yuvan shankar raj compose songs for this film.
   

Pyramid Siamira purchased Kuselan for a big amount !
Pyramid Saimira Entertainment Ltd, a subsidiary company of Pyramid Saimira Group purchased the worldwide release rights of Kuselan film for an undisclosed amount. As per the source, the company purchased the film for an amount between Rs 60 - 100 crores. Under the direction of P. Vasu the film is fast growing and the shooting is going on at Hyderabad studios. Kuselan starring Rajnikanth, Nayanthara, Meena, Pasupathi, Sneha, Kusbhoo and others would release on this July or August 1st week.

Dasavathaaram audio release, Police & fans clash ! :
As per sources, nearly dozens of people were injured during a police lathi charge to control the crowds attended the Dasavathaaram audio launch function. Thousands of "Passes" were distributed to Kamal fans, Kollywood film personalities, ruling DMK Persons and top brass of Sony BMG music company. Police officials feel that they are doing a thankless job and they admitted that they tighten the security as top VVIPs attending the function. But the fans saying that they have been cheated by not allowing them to enter the premise even though they bought tickets for the function. 

Dasavatharam music release on April 25th ! 
It is almost confirmed that the audio of Magnum Opus Dasavatharam going to release on 25th of this month, just 3 days left. The special attraction of the function would be Hollywood super actor Jackie Chan. The audio release function going to take place at Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on April 25th. Tamilnadu CM Mr. Karunandihi would attend the function as Chief guest. Film producer Oscar Ravichandran is busy inviting the top peoples of film industry, politics and other arena. Bollywood Big B Amitabh, Malayalam mega star Mammootty, Tamil ilayathalapathy Vijay would attend the function as special guests. Jackie Chan would release the Audio CD of Dasavatharam. The function might be telecast directly on Kalaignar TV.  

Aishwarya rai rejected Rajnikanth offer 4-5 times :
We all know Director Shankar approached actress Aishwarya rai for his films and she refused due to call-sheet problems. Now, in an interview 'Aish' told that she even refused Rajnikanth's offer 4-5 times. It's a new news. While answering a question related to the new Rajnikanth film Aishwarya said "This time for "Robo" it was an immediate yes from me. I just wanted to work with Rajni sir and Shankar. My "Jeans" with Shankar was a super success. I learnt so much from "Jeans" and Shankar. "Robo" too will be a learning experience and Rajni sir is a no egoistic man and my refusal to do his films was never misconstrued by him.

24 Tamil films by Pyramid Saimira Ltd :
Pyramid Saimira Limited going to produce nearly 24 Tamil movies during this financial year. The company has recently announced the launch of 10 Tamil films, and it created ripples in Kollywood. Now, the company has announced that they are going to produce 52 films this year, out of which 24 films will be in Tamil and rest will be in Telugu, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi and Bengali. P.S.Saminthan MD of Pyramid Saimira said they are going to invest Rs 350 to Rs 450 millions in these movies and they are looking out for K. Balachander, K. Rajan , Kovai Thambi, Amudha Duraraj, Sangili Murugan and others to make partnership and to produce films under the company banner. Already Adlabs and other corporate companies had entered the scenario, now this type of bulk launches by corporates showing that the film industry is transforming it's face.

Ar.Rahman to concentrate on his conservatory than films :
Music Composer Ar.Rahman cutting down his film assignments as he wants to concentrate on his KM Conservatory . In an interview while talking about "Lord of The Rings" Rahman said : "I had lots of help from fellow-musicians like Christopher Nightingale. It took me three years to do the album. Without help from like-minded musicians it'd have taken five years.". There was a news that Rahman rejecting some bollywood offers, and he accepted it and said "It's too complicated. But yes, the issue of publishing rights does stop me from accepting more Bollywood offers, those who won't agree to my conditions are going to other composers". 

Tamil film Stars in fast :
The whole tamil film industry is in Fast  today. Tamil film personalities belonging to various unions began a daylong protest fast against Karnataka's objections to the drinking water project in Hogenekkal, on the border between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Among the prominent who attended the fast are : 
Rajnikanth, Vijay, Ajith, Vijayakanth, Sarath kumar, Manorama, Prakash Raj, Arjun, Jayam Ravi, Simbu, Nayanthara, Prabhu, Sathya raj, Laskhmi Rai and others. On the other Kannada film stars also began a fast in Bangalore against this project. On the head of Parvathamma, Wife of Thesapian Rajkumar , Kannada film stars Ravichandran, Puneeth and others participating the protest fast.

Tamanna, preferred by all :
Directors and actors of Tamil movies prefers this young teen actress for their films. Tamanna's acting "Kallori" was appreciated by all, and now she is getting lot of offers. She is doing as heroine to Surya in "Ayan" film directed by KV Anand and production by AVM. Now, the latest news is, Tamanna has signed for Dhanush's "Padikadhavan" which is going to be direct by Suraj of "Marudhamalai" fame. 
  
Maniratnam son Nanda in CPI - M ?
Director Manirathnam's son Nanda who is doing his "Class XI" in an international school in Chennai is now a volunteer of Communist Party of India-Marxist's (CPI-M) congress which is going on in Coimbatore. In the conference, Nandan's job is to assist the foreign delegates. Some months ago, Nanda walked into CPI office in Chennai to become it's member, but the party leaders advised him to wait until he turns 18 to join the party. A Marxist from an international school ? 

Surya's new film Ayan, Tamanna Pairs !
Actor Surya's new film with AVM has been launched. The film titled as "Ayan", Tamanna is the heroine. KV Anand is the director of the movie Ayan. Harris Jayaraj Composing the music. The official launch of the film held recently at AVM Studios. Surya pairs with Tamanna for the first time. Ayan will be started from May and will shoot in Malaysia and South African locations. Suriya's Varanam Ayiram will release soon. 

Director Hari's Seval :
Tamil film director Hari is famous for his Tirunelveli based movies and for "Aruvaals". His recent movie Vel with Surya and Asin was a big hit and Hari is getting ready to start his next project. Bharath is the hero of "Seval" and Telugu actress Poonam Bhajwa would be the heroine. Poonam doing 'Thenavattu' with actor Jeeva and Seval would be her second movie in Tamil. Jinnah creations going to produce the film and music to be composed by GV Prakash kumar. The film will start rolling from May.

Actor Raghuvaran dead
Popular Tamil Villain actor Raghuvaran passed away early this morning. Raghuvaran's dialogue delivery was a unique one. He entered the film industry through Ezhavathu Manithan in 1982. He created his own style of acting and attracted huge audience through his voice modulation. He acted in Badshah, Arunachalam and other movies with Rajnikanth and recently in Bheema with Vikram. Raghuvaran is survived by his former wife actress Rohini and their son, Sai. Tamil film industry lost one of his best actors. May his soul rest in peace.

'Anshu' for Ajith - Shalini, and Anoushka for World :
Ajith - Shalini named their new born baby as Anoushka. This name will be her official name and for the parents she will be Anshu. Anoushka is a rare surname or firstname used. One of the meaning for the name is "Lightning". Another famous personality with same name is Anoushka Shankar and she is none other than the daughter of the famous Sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar. Anoushka Shankar is also a world renowned sitar player. Anshu means "Sunbeam". Our best wishes to Anoushka Ajith.

Cheran to direct TZP remake ?
Recently Director Cheran met Actor Aamir Khan, and Aamir interested to remake his Taara Zameen Par movie in Tamil and he selected Cheran to direct the film. As per sources, Vikram would do the movie. In a recent interview Vikram expressed his wish to act in a movie like TZP. More details awaited.
  
Ajith with Gautham Menon
Ajith is currently busy with his Aegan film directed by Raju Sundaram. Nayanthara playing the lead role. This pair coming together immediately after the success of Billa. This created more expectations about this film Agan. As per sources, Ajith singed a new film with Sivaji Productions and Director Gautham Menon will be the director. Gautham's Varanam Aayiram with Surya is in final stage of production. This new film would be started in the month of Sep.

Global Music a new Orchestra by A.R.Rahman
Isaipuyal Ar Rahman has launched a full fledged Orchestra, named "Global Music" and this is the first Indian Orchestra. A.R.Rahman told reporters that "I kept hearing someone is setting up an orchestra and waited for seven long years for someone else to set up an orchestra like the New York, London or Budapest Philharmonic in India. But it did not happen". Now, Rahman is happy as he no need to go to London or Budapest if he need to compose for an orchestra. "Gobal Music" will be fully functional within 2 years and will have both western and Indian musicians. 

Shriya : From an item girl to International Heroine
Actress Shriya made her debut in Tamil films through "Unnaku 20 Enaku 18" film as a friend to the heroine Trisha and as an item girl in a song. She also acted in Mazhai with Jayam Ravi, but Sivaji with Rajnikanth was the turning point in her career and she is now the busiest actress. Shriya already doing an International project titled "Other End of the Life" which is produced by Ashok Amritraj. Jimmy Dodson is the director. Now, she signed a new project with acclaimed international director Deepa Mehta. The movie title is "What's cooking". "I could not believe when Deepa Mehta called me to offer a role in her movie, Naturally, I am happy because I will be exposed to a different style of filmmaking. It will be a new experience for me," said an enthusiastic Shreya. Currently she is also doing Hindi films with Sangeet Sivan in "EK" and Mission Istanbul with Apoorva Lakhia. After Sridevi, Hema Malini and Jayapradha, Asin working in Hindi movies, but now Shriya over take Asin and doing International projects. Our wishes to the girl who started her life as an item number to International heroine.

Captain Vijayakanth to start a TV Channel :
Actor and Politician "Captain" Vijayakanth soon to launch a Television Channel and Magazine to speak for his DMDK Party. L.K.Sudeesh, Vijayakanth's brother-in-law told reporters that there are going to launch a 24 hour entertainment channel with news bulletins. No date was, however, announced for the station to go on air. Already there are so many TV Channels on air. Other than the Government owned DD Channels, Sun TV, Jaya TV, Vijay TV and Kalaignar TV Channels dominating the air and Makkal, Raj, Mega, Vasanth TV Channels having some viewer ship. Out of these, most of the TV Channels running their own Music and News Channels Separately. Now, the new entrant is Captain TV. 

"Oh God, Save me from my Friends !" - Sarath Kumar ?
"Oh God, Save me from my friends, i can take care of my Enemies" ! These were the promotional words released by KS Ravikumar and Rajinikanth in newspapers for their film Jaghubhai. Later, due to unknown reasons the film was dropped and Rajni went on to Chandramukhi with Director P.Vasu and KS Ravikumar gave God father with Ajith. Now, there is a news that KS Ravikumar is getting ready to re-start the project with actor Sarath Kumar. But there is no official announcement from either side yet. Sarath Kumar is now not only an actor but also running a political party, so it will be suitable for him to act in this script. Fans are eager to know whether Sarath kumar will utter the same promotional words or something new ?

Madhavan - Shruthi !
We can expect Madhavan and Sruthi Kamal hassan starrer new film announcement soon. Madhavan losing his weight for this film to be fit to Shruti's appearance. Madhavan told to a news agency that he is not allowed to announce Sruti's name till an official announcement from the director. Nishikant Kamat going to direct the film and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will compose the music. The film will be a romantic thriller. Currently Madhavan doing a Hindi-Tamil bilingual movie titled "Channel", Neetu Chandra playing opposite to Maddy and Vikram Menon directs the film. It will be India's "Sixth Sense".
    

Dasavatharam songs :
Dasavatharam Songs release function would be in April and not in March as told earlier. The date has been changed for the convenient of Jackie chan - 'The Asian Superstar' who will be the Chief guest of the function. Dasavatharam film release would be in April 10th or in May. It's all depends on KS Ravikumar and producer's decision. As per sources, the audio rights and Television rights of the film has been sold for a huge sum of money which is bigger than Sivaji.

Nayanthara in Egan :
A new news about Egan is coming out, Egan is the new film of Ajith which is under production and the news is, Nayanthara the hot glamour queen of south is the heroine of the movie and this is second time with Ajith. Her first movie with Ajit was Billa and it was a grand success. Choreographer Raju sundaram making his debut as director through this film. Actresses Ileana and Katrina Kaif were approached by the director but now, they settled with Nayantara. Ayngaran International is the producer of Egan. Watch for more news about Agan.

Director Myskin another Bala ?
Director Bala giving continuous hits from his Sethu, and his new film Naan Kadavul is getting ready for the past 2 years, the film would be completed by the March of this year. Meghna Naidu plays the lead role, Shayaji Shinde and Santhanam includes in the star cast, a new director Vidhyadharan directs the film. Another movie, 1977 film shooting went on well at Malaysia. The film is produced by Sarath himself and a new director G.N. Dinesh Kumar directs the movie. 1977 film is a story of a man who struggles to correct a blunder in history after 30 years. Silambarasan, will show his face only in Theatres :
If you are a fan of Simbu alias Silambarasan, after Feb 11th you would be able to see your favourite little superstar only in theatres and not in TV shows, Marriages, Audio release functions etc., etc., He made a resolution to concentrate on his films Silambattam and Kettavan. As per sources, Silambarasan would be available to media only after the release of these films. Last year Simbu judged the dancers in Vijay TV's Jodi No 1 Program and attended several audio release functions and marriages. So fans, be patient, you can see your hero only in Silver Screen.

Meena - The right choice for Kuselan !
News about Rajnikanth's Kuselan is hot in the industry. Another big question is, who is going to play the role of Pasupathi's wife in Kuchelan. Simran, Tabu were in the race. Simran was the first choice of the director and team, but due to her commitments and demands she was not able to join the film. Now, the latest news is, Meena the actress who did malayalam version will do the same role and she is going to work as Pasupathi's wife in the film. Meena's performance in Kadha Parayumbol was greatly appreciated by all. Meena played as heroine to Rajnikanth in films like Yajamaan, Veera, Muthu and as child artiste with Rajni in "Anbudan Rajnikanth". Let us hope Kuselan would be a come back film for this actress.

Dhanush re captured his market through Polladhavan and his previous film Thiruvilayadal Aarambam was also a hit one. Dhanush's new film is again for Director Vettrimaran. The title of the film is not yet announced and dhanush also doing the remake of telugu movie "Arya" which is going to be produced by Gemini labs. This is second movie for this hot young pair. 
   

Nayanthara in Kuselan :
There is an unconfirmed news that Nayanthara would play pair to Rajni in this movie. In Original Malayalam film there was no heroine to Mammootty, but in Tamil P.Vasu trying to bring Nayan as the heroine to Rajni to utilize her market in Tamil and Telugu films.But, the question is, who is going to play the main heroine role done by Meena in Malayalam. Tabu, Sneha and Simran are in the list but no one has been finalized as of now.

Robot Aishwarya Rai with Rajnikanth :
Finally Aishwarya rai put a full stop to the rumours about Robot heroine. She told to the media that she is going to do Robo with Rajnikanth. There was a pendulum between Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya rai bachchan, but it's now clear that Ash will do the film with Rajni. As of now, there is no official press release either from the director or producer. Last week Shankar met Rai and told one line narration of her role in the movie, Aishwarya already worked with director Shankar in "Jeans". So, it would be comfortable for her to do the film with director Shankar. 

Aarya with Vishnu Vardhan :
Director Vishnu Vardhan made his entry into Top directors list through his latest film "Billa", with this fame he can do film with any leading actors of Kollywood, but the news is, Vishnu has selected Aarya as his next hero. As per the sources, Trisha will be the heroine and title of the film is "Sarvam". Aarya and Vishnu already worked in "Arindyum Ariyaamalum" and "Pattial". Hero Aarya currently busy in "Naan Kadavul", Bala making this film for the past 2 years and changing the heroines quite often. So, Arya will be able join Vishnu film only after Naan Kadavul is over. Ayngaran International will produce the new film of Vishnu and Yuvan Shankar Raja as music director. There is a negative hero character in the film along with Arya, Vishnu approached Arjun, Mohanlal etc, but there is no confirmed news about the artiste. 

Prakash raj as Ravanan :
The great Villian of Tamil movies getting ready to be the Villain of Ram. Yes, Prakash raj has been selected for the role of Ravanan in the new Ramayan film going to be directed by Rajkumar Santhosi. In an interview the director said, "Prakashraj will play the Ravanan character and some other south indian peoples will play the Ravanan's clan characters". We feel that Prakash is the right selection by the director for the role of "Ravanan".

Vijay & AVM first time :
Vijay has signed with AVM for his new film, AVM productions celebrating its founder AV Meyyappa Chettiar's Centenary year and 60th year of AVM company. M Balasubramanian and B. Gurunath Meiyappan will produce the film, the cast and crew is not yet decided. Vijay is currently working on Kuruvi film. After Kuruvi, Vijay committed for Prabhu Deva's untitled film, so Vijay would start this project with AVM in the year End and would release it for Tamil new year 2009.

Kuselan Rajnikanth :
Rajnikanth's new film Kuselan has been officially launched. P.Vasu is the director and produced by Kavithalaya, Seven arts, and Vaijayanthi Movies. The film Kuselan will be made in Tamil and Telugu. The heroine is not yet announced and the star cast of Kuselan will be revealed soon. The film shooting is going on, a debutante director Rajashekar, an associate of Suresh Krishna is directing the movie. Harris Jayaraj compose music. 

Deepika Padukone or Aishwarya Rai ?
Rajnikanth's new film Robo with Shankar has created expectations nationwide. TV channels and Online medias talking about this, and the hot question is : "Who is going to be the heroine of Rajni ?". Everyone suggesting their own preference, out of that Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya rai are in lead, as per sources Shankar prefer Deepika padukone to be the heroine, but not yet confirmed. Aishwarya's historical film Jodhaa Akbar is releasing in February and she is already committed with other hindi movies. So, Rajni fans need to wait for some more time to read the official announcement. In the mean time, there is also another rumour that Amitabh bachchan might do a role in this film. Kaalai will release for Pongal ?
Simbhu starrer Kaalai film is in trouble. Vedhika plays the heroine role, and Nila as an item number. Simbhu's Kettavan film was shelved due to the problem with the producer, and Simbhu worked hard for Kaalai to release it for Pongal, but Vijaya Picutres filed a case in the court that the producer of Kaalai - Nic Arts Chakravarthy has failed to repay the amount Rs 75 lacs. Nic arts chakravarthy has replied the court that he has given Rs 25 lacs to vijaya pictures and the balance will be settled as soon as the film releases on theatres. The final judgment of the court is awaited. "Kaalai" directed by Tharu Gopi and music by G.V.Prakash. It's an action packed movie, how a name resemblance affect the hero's life is the storyline.

Rajnikanth in Shankar's Robot :

There is a news that Rajnikanth and Director Shankar going to join for "Robot" film. Shankar first approached Shah Rukh Khan, but due to difference of opinion they dropped the idea. Now, there is a news that Rajnikanth will do the film with Shankar. The producer of the film Ayngaran International ( distributor turned producer ) will produce the film. Karthi the super actor now working on Selvaraghavan's film Aayirathil Oruvan. Fourty percentage of the shooting was completed in Kerala and the second schedule would be in Rajasthan and the third one would be at Hyderabad Studio. Kamal hassan's big budget movie Dasavatharam is getting delayed. Previously there was a news that the film would hit the theatres for Pongal 2008, but now the producer Oscar Ravichandran categorically announced that Dasavatharam won't touch the screen for pongal, due to pending work in post production. The film would hit the theatres by Feb 14th. There are lot of Computer Graphics work is pending and as per the suggestion by Kamal hassan the producer outsourced the work to different companies in United States and other Countries, and the "Big" news is that the producer is spending nearly 12 crores for the CG work.  

Pongal 2008 : Vikram - Trisha starrer Bheema :
Actor Vikram always trying to give varieties to audience, he is totally dedicated and doing only single movie at a time. Trisha, the young and hot actress who worked with all major young heroes now doing second film with Vikram after Saamy. "Kallori" film produced by Shankar through S Pictures. Shankar started a new audio company called "S" Audios. "Shankar producing good scripts and giving full freedom to directors to come out with their own ideas" said Prakashraj. Some of the film personalities attended the function : A.R.Rahman, Mani ratnam, Balu Mahendra, Ameer, Bharathiraja, Thangar Bachchan, Lingusamy, venkat prabhu, simbu Devan, Prakashraj and others.

Comedians Santhanam and Kanja Karuppa are the heroes of "Arai Enn 305il Kadavul" film directed by Simudevan and produced by Director Shankar in the "S" Pictures banner. Prakashraj plays the "Kadavul" role, Star cast includes Ilavarasu, Rajesh, Thalaivasal Vijay, MathanBob, V.S.Raghavan, V.M.C.Haneefa, Kathal Sukumar, M.S.Bhasker and others. Shooting went on well at Chennai, Thirvannamalai, Thenkasi, Porur and other areas of tamilnadu. Vidyasagar composed 5 songs giving us variety in Folk, Fantasy and Melody. Jothirmayi and Madhumitha are the heroines in this film. 
  
Kamal expressed his wish to spend his retire life ( ! ? ) in Kerala. 

Ravi & Genelia Santhosh Subramaniam
Ravi's debut film was "Jayam" with Sada, his brother Raja directed the movie. Everyone knows the victory of the film. After that Raja and Ravi combination worked well in M.Kumaran S/o Mahalakshmi and "Something Something". The pair is again coming on to us with Santhosh Subramaniam. Genelia started her career in Shankar's Boys and paired with Vijay in Sachin, but she not have a consistent victory and base in Tamil, but she is doing well in Telugu. This is the first time Ravi and Genelia coming together in a movie. Director Ravi directs the movie and shooting is going on a fast face. Jayam Ravi having a good number of films in his hands, his next films are with Director Jananathan and Director Ameer. The film with Jananathan is an action based movie. Santhosh subramaniam is a well packed Father - Son sentiment with love.

Old titles getting new colours :
Old super hit film titles is now getting the attraction of Kodambakkam directors, Cheran is also not an exception. He has finished the "Pirivom Sandhipoom" with Sneha directed by Karu Palaniappan. The director turned actor seems to be not interested with direction, he is now getting ready to continue his acting profession, his film "Raman Thediya Seethai" will start rolling from December first week, Jagan is the director, he has given a good and decent movie titled "Kodambakkam" with Nandha in lead. The film received good comments even though not yield good collection at box office. Raman Thediya Sethai was the title used by MGR, and was a super hit movie. Now, Jagan opted for the title and Moserbaer the corporate film company going to produce the film. Well, Cheran's Autograph is still remains in the minds and hearts of tamilians, and audience like to see Cheran as a director again. Hope, he will be behind the camera soon.

Marmayogi Kamal :
Kamal's dasavatharam getting delayed and due for Pongal 2008. Now, Kamal started his pre production work for his new film. Marmayogi going to be directed and produced by Kamal hassan on first copy basis for Adlabs. The buzz is that, Kajol would play the heroine role and music by A.R.Rahman. Old titles for new films is a new trend in Kollywood. After Ajith Billa, Dhanush Polladhavan, Sarth kumar's Nam naadu, now MGR's Marmayogi title has been borrowed by Kamal for his new movie. This will be a tri -lingual film in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.

Silambarasan's Silambattam :
Silambarasan alias Simbu's new film is Silambattam, will be launched on Nov 12th. Cameraman Saravanan debut as Director through this film. After P.C.Sreeram, K.V.Anand and Rajiv Menon another cinematographer turned as director. Lakshmi Movie Makers produce the film. This is 25th movie to the production house. Dhina will compose music. Mathi is the cameraman. Silambattam will start rolling after the pooja. Simbu's Kettavan is in trouble, the film has been talked as a competitor to Dhanush Pollathavan, but as per the industry buzz Kettavan film is in suspension mode as of now. 

Second round by K.Balachander :
He is a trend setter in Tamil movies, he is a trend setter in Television too. In early 90's when most of the film directors hesitate to enter TV field, Director K.Balachander made his presence in TV field and directed super hit TV serials. After the late 90's upto now he kept himself away from the small screen due to its masala serials. Now, after the request from Kalaignar, he is again coming to small screen for Kalaignar TV, this is a second round for K.B. He is doing serials for the channel. "Naan Aval Illai" is a serial which is just a flip of "Naan Avan Illai" concept. The story is all about a fraud woman and a geninue lawyer. As per K.B, "The serial will be presented with different story line every week, and at the end, if you bring all the weeks in one line it will give you a full story", a new concept by Balachandar. Welcome Sir. 

Shriya an item girl :
For a Tamil actress there could be only one big goal in their film career. ie. to act with Rajni. Shriya Saran, the hot and young actress achieved the goal within a short span of time after her entry into Tamil films. For most of the heroines, after acting with Rajni the graph will be over. But for Shriya, she is now busy with Vijay and Vikram for ATM and Kanthasamy respectively. And the interesting news is that she is playing an item number in Vadivelu's "Indiralaokathil Na Azhagappan". Vadivelu playing 3 different roles in this tamil cinema and Ramaiah is the director. The song sequence starring Vadivelu and Shriya was shooted in Ambasamudram, Tenkasi. As per sources a big amount has been given to Shreya to feature her face in the film.

Bharath Nepali
Director VZ Durai gave a decent movie "Mugavari" with Ajith. Now, his forthcoming film is "Nepali" with Bharath and Meera Jasmine in lead. This is the first time Bharath and Meera coming together. The stills of the pair in romance mood makes the youngsters to eagerly look for the release of the movie. The national award winning actress Meera has done homely roles, but in Nepali film, she has opted to do glamour heroine to Bharath. The script of Nepali is new to Kollywood, there are 3 stories in one Film, Confusing ? - Yes, Director Durai penned a different script and we have to wait and see the knot between each stories. Bharath plays 3 roles in Nepali. One of the role is a Nepali boy, another one angry young man ( Psycho ) and a student. The latest news is that, Director himself lended voice to one of the character of Bharath in this movie to give different feeling to the audience. Srikanth Deva composed songs. Madhi is the camera man. The crew is busy to release the movie soon.

Deepavali releases :
Deepavali is nearing and Tamil film producers are in full swing to release their films. This diwali will be a double festival to Vijay fans. Actor Vijay's ATM ( Azhagiya Tamil Mahan ) will hit the theatres for this festival season. Shriya plays the heroine role to Vijay. Surya, Asin, and Director Hari combo going to serve us "Vel". Surya plays dual role in this movie. Dhanush Poladavan with Divya will also release for Diwali. Already the audio of Poladavan hit the music shops, Vel and ATM audio songs will hit the market in next few days. Vikram's Bheema with Trisha and Ajith's Billa with Nayantara will hit only in the mid of December. Kamal's Dasavatharam will be only for Pongal 2008.

Madhavan, a new producer !
Madhavan, the chocolate boy of tamil films was introduced by Maniratnam in Alaipayuthey, and he build up his career through Run, Aayutha Eluthu and other films, his latest movie Aarya is a hit. Madhavan's forthcoming cinema is Evano Oruvan. It's a marathi remake. The story is not about a superstar, but about an ordinary man and his life. Sangeetha shared the lead role with maddy. Madhavan started a new production house called Leukos films, and Evano Oruvan is the first movie of maddy as producer. After Kamal hassan and Prakash Raj, now maddy becomes a producer to give quality films.  Welcome Producer !
    

Heroine Hunt for Vaaranam Aayiram ?
Gautham menon who gave us a super hit with Surya in Kakha Kakha is now again joined with Surya for Vaaranam aayiram tamil movie, the latest news is that the director is looking for a suitable heroine for this film. First of all Deepika Padukone was approached but she refused the offer as she preferred to be SRK's heroine in Om Shanti Om, then it was our own Asin and Trisha, but they had no dates. Now, the buzz is that Gautham approached sexy girl Sameera reddy for the heroine role, and it will be confirmed only after getting endorsement from the hero Surya. Actor Surya is in Europe with Asin for the film "Vel" shooting. Ramya of Kuthu fame plays one of the heroines in Vaaranam Aayiram. 

Director Bharathiraja in Kalignar TV :
Tamil cinema's trend setter Director Bharathiraja is now ready to steal the hearts of TV audience. He is hard working in the shooting of "Therkathi Ponnu", a TV serial to be telecast in Kalignar TV. CM Mr. Karunanidhil himself invited Bharathiraja to direct the serial. "16 Vayathenele" was a trend setter in Tamil film industry, Bharathiraja converted the cinema style, from sets to real villages. Now, Bharathiraja's this experiment in Therkathi Ponnu will make the TV Serials to move towards Villages, currently most of the TV serials being shooted in Chennai and surroundings. Therkathi ponnu serial will cast actress Ranjitha and actor Napoleoan in lead. Ranjitha was introduced by Bharathiraja some 15 years back, now she is again with the director for TV Serial. "Rekla Race" and other real village flavor will be part of the serial. 

Nadai Udai Bhavanai :
Director Vasanth is one of the decent movie makers in Kollywood. His latest release is "Satham Poodathey". Prithviraj and Padmapriya played the lead roles. The movie getting good comments all over the state and doing well at the box office. Director Vasanth is getting ready for his next directorial venture, the film has been titled as Nadai, Udai, Bhavanai. Vasanth was an assistant to Director Balachander, so he is having the impact of K.B's directorial touches. Vasnth's next movie will have a serious storyline and message to the public. Actors and Actresses not yet decided for this film.

Vikram's Kandasamy Trailer - New to Kollywood  :
Affter Kamal hassan there is another man who dares to do different roles in Kollywood, and that's Vikram. The film trailer has been released even before the film pooja, this is new to tamil cinema. Kalaipuli Thanu who who doesn't care about spending money for his films is the producer. The price for a single invitation for the pooja is nearly Rs 10000. They gave a Digital invitation which shows the trailer. The music director for this film is Devi Sri Prasad. Shriya is the heroine and be ready to watch the sexy look of Shriya in this film, she is terrific. Susi Ganeshan directs this movie. Ekhambaram the camerman. Thotta tharani art director. Kaalai Simbu :
Simbu the little super star of Tamil cinema is getting ready with Kaalai for Diwali show. Vedika plays opposite to Simbhu in Kaalai. Another highlight of the movie is, that actress Mamta Mohandas debut as a play back singer in Tamil through Kaalai film. She already sung in Telugu and recently bagged the filmfare award for best female play back singer in Telugu. We can hear her voice in Tamil through Kaalai, music composer G.V.Prakash composed music for this movie. Simbu's Kaalai slated for Deepavali. The song sequence will be picture in Rome and Venice with Simbu and Vedika.

Vijay's ATM :
Dr.Vijay after giving success with Prabhu deva in Pokkirri is coming to us this Deepavali with ATM ( Azhagiya Tamizh Mahan ). Shriya, the heroine of Rajni is now the heroine of Vijay. The shooting of songs for ATM went on well at European countries. A.R.Rahman composed music for Vijay in "Udaya", eventhough the songs reached the audience, the film washed out due to various reasons. Now, the duo coming back with ATM. As per sources, ar rahman composed soul touching music for this film. Upto yesterday ,the only hurdle for the film is that one Mohammad Farookh filed a case against the Azhagiya Tamil Magan producer Mr.Appachan claiming that the story of ATM belonged to his production house.

Nayanthara's films :
Nayanthara, is busy in both Kollywood and Telugu. She completed her talkie portion for the Ajit's Billa movie and only a song to be shot. Billa will hit theatres for Deepavali.
