Saravana : Simbu's Saravana
Director K S Ravikumar's "Jaggubai" with Rajnikanth was dropped and "God Father" with Ajith also not yet relesed due to some problems, but with a good hope he comes with Simbu in Saravana. After Manmathan Simbhu and Jyothika pair up again in Saravana, Cast : Silambarasan, Jyothika, Prakash Raj, Vivek, Nagesh and Music by Srikanth Deva 

Sivakasi : Vijay's Sivakasi, directed by Perarasu, Produced by A.M.Rathnam - Sri Surya Movies is scheduled for Deepawali release.
Asin is the heroine of the film and Nayanthara is the item girl in Sivakasi. Sivakasi music composed by Srikanth Deva, with a mixture of Melody and Item Songs, most of them are typical Vijay Songs. Out of the 6 songs, Vaada Vaada ( Shankar Mahdevan ) and Kodambakkam Area ( Tippu, Shobha Chandrasekaran ) seems to be sure hit.

Tollywood to Kollywood continues :

Remake from Tollywood to Kollywood continues. Vikram is currently working in the remake of "Thommanum Makkalum" as Majaa and Vijay signed for 'Mass', the remake of Telugu film Atanokkade . Now it's Simbu's turn, Simbu and K.S.Ravikumar going to work in the Telugu remake of 'Bhadra' . Simbu plans to start work on this 

remake after he completes work on Vallavan his first directorial debut.

• Selvaraghavan to direct the "Film school" Kamal Hassan.

• Majaa - Title of Vikram's new film has been changed and the new title is yet to be announced.

• Shooting of Bala's Naan Kadavool with Ultimate Star Ajith starts in and around Varanasi ( Kasi ).

• Asin in lead : Kerala girl Asin dominating the kollywood cine field, currently she is working with - Surya in Ghajini, Vijay in Sivakasi, Ajith in Godfather, Vikram in Majaa ( title changed).

• Bala going to produce a film for Director BaluMahendra, his Film school teacher ( Guru ), Bala requested Balu mahendra to direct the film in a commercial manner.

• Director Vishnuvardhan, Producer Geetha combination for the second time, after the success of Arinthum Ariyamalum, they are going to start a second film titled "Pattiyal". 

• Sonia Agarwal after completing her two films is to turn associate director to Selvaraghavan. Sonia is currently acting in Oru Kalorien Kathai opposite Arya, Puthupettai with Dhanush and Fazil’s Oru Naal Oru Kanavu. 

Jothika in June R
Eventhough there are objections from Tamil Protection movements for naming kollywood films in English, Kollywood Directors on their own way. A new film Titled June R , Jothika palys the heroine and a heavy female cast is there like Kushboo , Saritha... The film June R is to be directed by a debutant film director Revathy S . Verma, a renowed ad & documentary film maker. Madhu Ambat cranks the camera and Sharath scores the music. June R is the character played by Jyothika and the entire movie revolves around her. A popular hero will be playing the hero whose name would be announced very soon.

Yuvan Shankar Raja's music for Nitin's film - 
Telugu actor Nitin had a rough ride at the box office. His last two films Sri Anjaneyam and Dhairyam did not do well at the boxoffice. Dhairyam was directed by Teja and Nitin's father was one of the producers. Now Nitin has one film already on sets, Allari Bullodu and another film that his father is planning to produce in the direction of ''Encounter' Shankar. The production seems to be taking a shape. Now it is learnt that Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose music for the film. More details on the cast, crew and the schedules are awaited. 

Madhavan : Not only for Kollywood ?

Madhavan makes debut into Telugu with Sekhar Kammula's Godavari' , As the sources reported, hero Madavan is roped into play the lead in Sekhar Kammula's upcoming film. Shekar Kammula made his debut with Anand as director and producer. Anand swayed the boxoffice and the audience. The excitement is usually there for his next film. Shekar Kammula is producing his next venture too in association with GVG Raju and the production is titled Godavari. Trisha, Shriya or Kamalini?: If everything goes as heard, Madhavan, who is known to Telugu audience with dubbed films such as Yuva, Sakhi, Cheli, Satyame Sivam, Dum Dum Dum, will make his debut into Telugu. This will be his first Telugu film. Though heroine is not yet confirmed, the following names are heard in the list - Trisha, Shriya and Kamalini Mukharjee. Kamalini made debut into Telugu films with Sekhar Kammula's Anand. The film will go to sets in Augus

We are in Love - Kollywood Director Selvaraghavan !

Ilayaraja's music for Teja's next Telugu film
It is learnt that Maestro Ilayaraja will compose music for Actor Teja's next Telugu film. This is quite interesting in different ways. Teja always stuck to his music directors RP Patnaik and Anoop, who he introduced to the film industry. And it is quite sometime that Ilayaraja composed music for any film in Telugu. Sources maintain that this is a lovestory with good importance to the music element. As the sources say, when Teja narrated the story to Ilayaraja, he immediately composed the climax song for the film proving his inclination to the story. Nallamalupu Srinu will produce this film on Sri Lakshminarasimha productions, which will go to sets in August. 

Mother Simran :
Simran gave birth to a male child in Delhi. She was the No 1 in kollywood until her marriage with Deepak Bhaga, a childhood friend and relative. Even though, she got the chance to act in Chandramukhi she refused because of her pregnancy at that time. Jyothika grabbed that chance. After her marriage Simran has acted in Kichaa Vayasu 16.

Kollywood Vikram Tamil films sweep into Telugu :
'Chiyyan' Vikram, as he is fondly called by the Tamil audience, earlier in his career acted in many Telugu films. But this actor had to struggle for many years in Telugu and Tamil before he got the break with Sethu in Tamil. After Sethu there is no looking back for him. He became a star in the next few years in Tamil. His films were remade into Telugu. His recent Aparichithudu released in both Telugu and Tamil at the same time and tasted grand success. Owing to the craze he garnered with Telugu audience too, producers are dubbing his films into Telugu. The recent to be dubbed were Dhil, Samurai and now Arul. Dhil was remade with Udaykiran as Sriram a while ago. But the producers dubbed the film and released it in Telugu last year. Followed Samurai, which also was dubbed with the same name and the film was released earlier this year. Now Arul. This film is getting dubbed as Akhandudu. Jayaprada pictures is dubbing this film. Vikram and Jyothika played the lead in this film. K.S.Ravikumar directed this venture. This leaves that almost all films of Vikram either made its way into Telugu through dubbing or remake. 

Kollywood Anniyan to be dubbed into French
Shankar, Vikram's Anniyan proved to be one of the biggest hits in Kollywood - Tamil cinema. The film did great business at the Tollywood boxoffice too. Now the makers are planning to dub this film into different Indian languages. Some sources say that the film might be dubbed into French too. Confirmation and details are awaited.  

Vijay's New Kollywood film Titled Mass :

Actor Vijay's new Tamil film titled 'Mass' - the remake of Telugu movie Atanokkade . Vijay not only borrowed the story of Atanokkade, but also borrowed the Title Mass - the name of the Telugu super duper hit movie 'Mass' directed by Kollywood Choreographer turned Tollywood director Lawrence Raghavendra. Vijay borrowed the story from

Atanokkade and title from Mass - a mix. Once Vijay's Sivakasi is completed, Mass would go to floors.

Kollywood talk about Vallavan :
Vallavan , the debut film of Actor Simbu as a Director started last month. Simbhu in the lead role has Nayanthara, Sandhya and Reema Sen opposite him. The stills of the movie Vallavan created a hot talk in the kollywood industry. There was a talk that Producer Thenappan had decided  to withdraw from the film because of Simbhu,  who had spent nearly Rs 50 lacs for just a couple of songs. But it seems to be not the truth. As Simbu is busy with his Totti Jaya, Vallavan would resume its shooting from June 15th.

Jayam Ravi's Dass releasing on July 1st :
'Jayam' Ravi's first picture outside his home banner was named 'Rascal', but changed to Dass.The film Dass produced by Lakshmi Movie Makers and directed by Babu Yogeswaran. In Dass, Jayam Ravi plays the role of a football player. Renuka Menon from Malluwood plays heroine role. The supporting actors includes Vadivelu, Monika,Fefsi Vijayan and others. Music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film is scheduled to release on July 1st

Tollywood actor Jagapati Babu in Kollywood Arjun's Madrasi ?
As per some media sources, Jagapathi Babu - the tollywood actor is acting in action king Arjun's Kollywood film Madrasi. This will be the first film for Jagapathi Babu in Tamil. As the source says, Madrasi will have Arjun, Jagapathi Babu, Gajala in the lead. The makers are planning to release the film simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil for Diwali. Imman will compose music. This is a typical action film set against Mumbai backdrop.

Anthanokkade remake in Kollywood : Vijay - Trisha again :
Trisha has signed to be Vijay’s heroine for the third time in his next film produced by S.A.Chandrasekhar. This film, a remake of Anthanokkade, a hit film from Telugu . It is a mass masala action entertainer. This film will start by September after Vijay completes Sivakasi. Sivakasi which will be his Diwali release. Vijay and his team would complete the film in 100 days and it should be ready for Pongal 2006 release. 

Director Lingusamy's "Sanda Kozhi" - Meera Jasmine & Vishal :
After successful movies such as "Anandam", "Run" and "Ji," director Lingusamy has now begun working on "Sanda Kozhi," starring Vishal and Meera Jasmine. After "Chellame," Vishal got numerous offers. But he was waiting for a right script and a good director. "Sanda Kozhi" provided him the both. He is paired for the first time with the national award-winner Meera Jasmine. 
  

Kamal, Jyothika from Kollywood to Tollywood Magadheera :
It is earlier reported that Khakha Khakha fame Gautam is directing Kamal Hasan and Jyothika for Sri Venkateswara Cine Enterprises production in Telugu. Also, it is reported that a real action hero is roped in. The real action hero is none other than our realstar Srihari. Raj Varma is producing this film. First schedule started on wednesday and will continue in Karnool for about 10 days. Second schedule is planned in Vizag and final schedule will be filmed in Hollywood. Deva is handling the camera. Haris Jayraj is composing music. Peter Hayne will compose action sequences. Story, screenplay and direction will be provided by Gautam Menon. 

Asin doing 4 big projects in Kollywood :
Asin seems to be doing great in Kollywood. She is roped in with top stars of Tamil industry viz. Vikram, Ajit, Surya and Vijay. Vikram is doing a film titled Mazza. Trisha is initially picked for the heroine role since the Vikram-Trisha pair has got that craze in Tamil circles. Rockline Venkatesh is the producer and Shafi, a Malayalam director, is the director. This film is based on Malayalam film Thommannam Mukkalum. However, Trisha is dropped (or she opted out?) and Asin is roped in to play the heroine. Also, Asin is doing 3 other films - Ghajni with Surya, Sivakasi with Vijay and Godfather with Ajit. Way to go! 

Kollywood Ultimate Star Ajith's God father : 
The shooting of Kollywood ultimate star Ajith's God father stopped due to financial problems. Now the director of the film K.S.Ravikumar, Distributors and Theatre owners met the Producer Nic Arts Chakravarthy and promised financial assistance to complete the film. As per the industry talk, the Music of A.R. Rahman in this film is marvelous and it will help the film to be a super hit. Ajith doing triple role in this film, so he is also eagerly awaiting the release of the film.

Jayam Ravi's Dass - Romantic Action film ! :

Producers Muralidharan, V Swaminathan and G. Venugopal after a long gap producing the movie Dass under the banner Lakshmi Movie Makers. Hero of the film Dass is Jayam Ravi and the heroine is Renuka Menon. Dass film is said to be a strong romantic action story directed by Babu Yogeswaran, who wrote the script for the mega-serial Annamalai. The hero is said to be a Christian, Heroine is  Hindu and they seeking refuge in a Muslim house. Even though the director brings all the religions in his script , Doss seems to be not a religious film. Salim Ghose, Vadivelu, Pepsi Vijayan and Monika are doing the main roles.Yuvan Shankar Raja composed music for the film and Vijay Chakravarthy is the Cameraman for the film Dass.

Oru Naal Oru Kanavu : Tamil cinema Oru Naal Oru Kanavu direction by Fazil , cast includes Srikanth, Sonia Agarwal. First, Oru Naal Oru Kanavu title was registered by Director Selvaraghavan but transferred to Director Fazil. 

Priyasakhi : Tamil cinema Priyasakhi  directed by K.S Adiyaman, Produced by P.L.Thenappan, Priyasakhi Cast includes Madhavan, Sada and music composed by Bharadhwaj

Mazhai  : SPB Charan's Mazhai is a remake of Varsham telugu movie. Tamil cinema Mazhai directed by Rajkumar, Produced by SPB Charan and Mazhai cast includes Jayam Ravi, Shriya, Kalabhavan Mani, Venkat Prabhu, Vadivelu and Music composed by Devi Sri Prasad

Totti Jaya : Totti Jaya, Actor cum Director Simbu @ Silambarasan's new film Thotti Jaya. He is not the director of the film Thotti Jaya, but the hero of the film. Gopika is the heroine. Dialogues by Elango, Cinematography by R.D. Ravichandran and music director is Harris Jayaraj , Written & Directed by : V.Z. Dhorai
      

Vidhyasagar dominates tamil cinema music :
Vidyasagar seems to have dominating tamil cinema music with his continuous hits. He has been among Tamil cinema's more successful music directors in the last one year. His compositions for Rajnikant's "Chandramukhi" was already a great hit, and now its going to be K.V. Anand's Kanaa Kanden. The Kanaa Kandein cassette contains only five songs. But the quality makes up for the quantity. "Chinna Ponnu" sung by Sayonara Phillip, "Chinna Chinna" by Tippu and Sunitha Sarathy, "Kaalai Arumbi" duet song by Srinivas and Kalyani , "Aiyya Ramaiah" by Udit Narayan. 4 Songs are simply superb. Let watch his success.

Venkatesh to do Kollywood Thirupachchi remake??
If the sources are to be believed, Supergood films is planning to remake the Tamil(Kollywood) hit film Tirupaachchi starring Vijay and Trisha. The film did good business at the boxoffice. Supergood films has a successful track record of remaking films with Venkatesh in Telugu ( Tollywood ). It is heard that this remake might have Venkatesh playing the lead role. 

Vikram's new film titled 'Maja' : 
Actor Vikram's new film titled as Maja, Trisha has been signed as Vikram’s heroine in this film Maja, Rockline Venkatesh is the producer . Maja, which is a remake of super hit Malayalam film Thommanum Makkalum to be directed by Shafi. Trisha grabbed this opportunity with a heavy competition from Nayantara and Asin. So, Vikram - Trisha the luck pair of 'Saamy' again in Majaa, the original heroine of the malayalam movie was Laya. Lal and Manivannan is also in the cast. The shooting of Majaa will start on June 6 in Pollachi and this full length family entertainer is aimed at the masses. Vikram plays a petty thief who speaks colloquial Tamil and broken English. Vidyasagar is the music director and Maja will have all fast numbers including a couple of ‘gana’ number. 

     
Manmadhan Simbu going to be a Director : 
Simbu, Manmadhan for girls has been accused by the industry that he is interfering in the directorial section. So he decided not to be a proxy one and to direct a film straight away. His debut film as director is Vallavan. Simbu is all set to write the story, play hero and direct his next film Vallavan . P.L.Thenappan is the Producer under the banner Sri Rajalakshmi Films. Vallavan film will start rolling from June after he completes work on Thottijaya. Gopika and Simbu doing the lead roles in Thotti Jaya. Vallavan is said to be another thriller like Manmathan with a campus background. He is paired with three dream girls - Reema Sen, Nayantara and Sandhya. The music is by Yuvan Shakar

Cheran's Autograph from Kollywood to Kannada :
Director Cheran's block buster kollywood movie Autograph going to be in Kannada, Meena has been chosen to play Sneha’s role in the Kannada remake of Autograph. The Kannada film titled My Autograph will be directed and produced by the popular Kannada actor Sudeep.

Actor Surya's brother Karthik new hero in Kollywood : 
Karthik, Sivakumar’s second son and actor Surya’s brother is being launched as a hero by director Ameer in a new film titled "Paruthee Veeran", the story about a man who lived in Madurai District.Karthik is an assistant to director Mani Ratnam and his dream was to direct a film. Karthik's debut film is with Ameer who has made his debut with Surya in Mounam Pesiyathe.His latest film Raam won him a lot of accolades and now he was waiting for Surya’s dates to start his new film with a very exciting script. 

Kamal hassan's next film Vettayadu Vilayadu :
Kamal Haasan today announced his next film Vettayadu Vilayadu at a press conference in Chennai. Jothika will be the heroine she teams up with Kamal after Thenali. Gautham Menon will be the director and music by Harris Jayaraj. Jeeva is the cameraman. Roja Combines produces this film. Producer Kaja Moideen, Vijayakant, Sathyajothi Thiagarajan, Jothika, Gautham, Harris Jayraj, Jeeva and Surya attended the function.

Maddy from Kollywood to Hollywood ! :

Madhavan alias Maddy to his fans, Tamil cinema’s choclate romantic hero is going to do a Hollywood film with director Steve Anderson who has directed South Central.
Maddy will be in Los Angeles by the end of the month. Maddy will be playing the role of a generation next Indian brought up in US. Steve Anderson spoke to him and found that he could speak impeccable English and that too with an American accent. Maddy is currently in busy schedule with his two films, Thambi and Priyasakhi. Right now he is in Dubai shooting a song with Sada for Agathiyan directed Priyasakhi. 

B.F is no more Best Friend to Suryah : 
Due to the heavy pressure from Dr.Ramdoss and Thol Thirumavalan to the change the name of his film from English to Tamil, S.J.Suryah changed the name B.F ( Best Friend ) into Ah Aah, the first two letters of Tamil alphabets Ah Aah. S.J.Surya hope this new title will make the Tamil protection movement people happy. He got this title through a poll in a Tamil magazine. Meanwhile Kamal Haasan who was the target of Tamil chauvinists has not bothered to change the title from Mumbai Xpress. He is also not interested to make any comments now, he wish to be calm.

Glamourous Gopika in Kollywood
The film 'Autograph' became an impressive launch vehicle for Gopika in Tamil. Since then, she has become a very busy actress in Tamil and Telugu. But she has made it absolutely clear that she is not going to typecast herself by playing roles similar to 'Autograph'. 
Irrespective of the language, Gopika prefers to play versatile roles. She is very excited about her new project in Tamil, 'Kanaa Kandaen'. Shrikanth plays the lead role and Prithviraj make his Tamil debut in a lightly negative role. KV Anand, the cinematographer, becomes a director with this film. The director has used six cameras to capture the romantic scenes featuring the lead pair. There are talks that some o the scenes are pretty 'close'. Gopika gets to be versatile and the audience gets to enjoy some wonderful romantic scenes. 

Fazil's Oru Naal Oru Kanavu in kollywood :
After a gap of six years, Fazil, one of the top directors in Malayalam is back in Tamil ( kollywood ) with Oru Naal Oru Kanavu for Lakshmi Movie Makers. The film has Srikanth, Sonia Agarwal in the lead with music by Ilayaraja and camera by Anandakuttan.

Gopika and Vijay in Cheran's Diary :

'Autograph' Gopika is paired with Tamil hero Vijay in the forthcoming Cheran's film 'Diary'. Cheran, who launched Gopika's career in Tamil, is directing this film. When Cheran made 'Autograph', he had first approached Vijay to star in the lead role, but Vijay refused because it didn't suit his image and he felt that he wasn't ready yet to make such an offbeat film. So, Cheran himself starred in the film and it became a super hit. He approached Vijay again for the new film, the actor accepted the offer without even asking what the story is! 

 Vijay in 'Sivakasi' : 

Vijay next film after Sachin will be Sivakasi. After having titles of Tamilnadu towns like Madurai and Tirupachi it is now the name of that town that is famous for crackers. Sivakasi will be directed by Perarasu who did Tirupachi.This film will be produced by A.M.Ratnam for Sri Surya Movies. Sivakasi promises to be a film for Vijay fans with all commercial elements. It will be released for Deepavali 2005 and the rest of the star cast and technicians are yet to be decided. 

Ravi is not a 'Rascal', he is 'Dass' :

Jeyam Ravi's forthcoming movie 'Rascal' has been re-named as 'Dass'

the name of the character Jeyam Ravi plays in the film. The film produced by Laxmi Movie Makers. Heroine is Renuka Menon, a new face to tamil film industry. The film will be released in May 2005.

Nayantara in Telugu: Nayantara who made her debut in a Tamil film Aiyya is all set to act in a Telugu film. She has been given a big amount and will be paired opposite Junior NTR. She is at present acting with Rajanikanth in Chandramukhi. 

Kollywoood "Kaadhal" Sandhya in Sibi Malayil Film :

Sandhya is the latest teenage sensation in Kollywood after Kaadhal. Her realistic performance in Kaadhal, combined with fresh looks has attracted the Malayalam directors too. She is acting in a Malayalam film Alice in Wonderland directed by Sibi Malayil. 
Though she plays the role of sister to Jayaram, the whole story revolves around her. Vineeth acts opposite her. Jayaram has Laya for company. “The film has a musical romantic subject which will attract the youth”, says the director. In the meantime, Sandhya has been offered yet another film under Shankar’s banner. Though she get lot of offers, she is selective .
 

Vijaykanth headed Team re-elected :  

Actor Vijaykanth has been re-elected president of the South Indian Film Artistes Association (SIFAA).  Vijaykanth got 749 votes Sunday night. Film star Devi could garner only 122 votes. Sarath Kumar was elected the general secretary. This is his second term as a SIFAA office bearer. Actors Napolean and S.S. Chandran were also re-elected vice-presidents. K.N.Kaalai was elected the Treasurer. Vijayakanth team totally occupied the Executive Committee. Elected E.C members : Prabhu, Sathyaraj, Vijayakumar, Radha Ravi, Senthil, Nazar, Abbaas, Charli, Alex, Karthik, Y.G.Mahendran, Kannan, Praveen kumar, Rajendran, A.K. Prakash Raj’s New film : 
Priya.V,Mani Ratnam’s assistant is making her debut as a director with Kanda Naal Muthal. This film will be produced by actor Prakash Raj under his Duet Films banner. It is a triangular love story told in a candyfloss manner and has Prasanna, Laila and Karthik Kumar (of Vaanam Vasappadum fame) with Revathy in a pivotal role. Mani’s one time favourites, like P.C.Sreeram is the cameraman and Thotta Tharani is the art director. Editing will be by Sreekar Prasad and the only outsider will be music director Yuvan Shankar Raja. 

Nadiya bags two more films: After the hit of M Kumaran, Son of Mahalakshmi, Nadiya has bagged two more Telugu films--Padmavyuham and Antharudu. In the first film, Nagarjuna will be the hero. Reports say she has been offered Rs 20 lakhs each. She is also acting in two more Tamil films.

Sreekanth in Fazil's film: Sreekanth will act in Fazil's latest Tamil film made under the banner of Lakshmi Movies. The story is almost ready. Fazil has directed almost eight Tamil films. The heroine has not been decided so far. 

Double Role for Sarath in 'Ayya': 

Kavithalaya banner's latest release "Ayya", which stars Sarath Kumar in the double role of an estranged father and his son, is hoping for a good box-office response from the Pongal audience. "Ayya" was originally written for superstar Rajnikant. When he decided to do "Chandramukhi", Sarath Kumar stepped into the roles. Sarath, who excels in double roles (remember his other hits - "Nattamai" and "Suryavamsam"), plays an honest politician, fondly called "Ayya" by his electorate. A misunderstanding over a family matter leads to the estrangement between the MLA from Tirunelveli and his son. The rest of the plot relates how the misunderstandings are resolved and the family reunited.Veteran actress Lakshmi returns to the silver screen after five years as the senior Sarath's wife, while the delightful 20-year-old Nayanthara plays the younger Sarath's love interest."Ayya" is Nayanthara's first Tamil film, although she is better known as Rajnikant's heroine in "Chandramukhi". The audience will be eager to appraise her performance."Ayya", which also stars Napolean, Prakashraj and Vadivelu, was produced by Balachander's daughter Pushpa Kandasamy and shot entirely in Tirunelveli and Nagercoil. V.T. Vijayan and Priyan were in charge of editing and camera work.

Prabhu Deva makes his debut as director: 

Ace choreographer Prabhu Deva's maiden directorial venture, Telugu film "Nuvvu Vasthanante Ne Vadantana", is slated for release Jan 14.In the film, Trisha and Siddarth play the young lovers while Srihari and Prakash Raj have been given key roles. Composer Devisri Prasad, who rose into the big league with Raju's "Varsham", promises a delightful album. 

Kamal hassan helping Manisha :

Currently Manisha Koirala acting in Mumbai Express she had acted earlier in Indian, Baba and Muthalvan. The Call-sheet is empty and no big heroes willing to act opposite her, so she had planned to act in a TV serial when Kamalhassan signed her. He had wanted Tabu instead but he had to settle for Manisha. Now Kamal is helping her to meet Tamil film directors and producers.

Ajit's Godfather starts : Ajit has started shoot for his latest film Godfather directed by K S Ravikumar in Chennai. Ajit plays a triple role in the film- a powerful father character and his two sons. The film will be produced by S S Chakravarthy for Nic Arts. Asin would be one of Ajit's heroines in the film. The film is expected to release in May 2005.
