ramp and runway are the same the difference is the style. most models that are runway models can walk very lightly. some models that walk can freeform their bodies so that each movement curve strut even the motion right up to the turn is a synchromonious fluid movement that is unique to every model..the clothes are accentuated!!!!!! but you know some designers are, well let's just say new to the business, so the clothes sometimes don't express the feminine form to put it lightly. the most curious aspect?...when developed, woman tend to outdo themselves on the 'ramp' and don't look good...some are fantastic allways get jobs and always have a bright future and lots of friends and become very knowledgeable in the industry as experts and most importantly cure-alls to young woman that need assurances and support and guidance.

The minimum requirement for modling are fair and clean complextion, 5.7'feet, fine figure, good communication skill.

first contact to any agencie before making portfolio.....
it is easy to start.....

Nice question most of people belonging to the industry doesn't know it. Ramp and run way are just 2 different styles adopted by choreographers as per the designers need. In India most of the time its only ramp walk and predominently knowm by the same name. In west we see runway modelling though.
About starting in modelling is not tought just get portfolio contact good agencies and get going but important is to face the journey and struggle along with it.Its glamourous to look at but tedious to work. So think for yourself decide and take your decision just don't go by your friends suggestions or what they think.
