"muttaals" are not born, they are created by these serials. if you watch kolangal you will be fooled. i suggest you to do some other works or watch Makkal TV, they are giving some useful programs eventhough unwanted serials.  

The story seems to be endless and illogical. It is time to end this in a month or so. All the characters are becoming irrelevant to the main story. It appears the actors and actreeses have multiple committments and disappear for several episodes. This results in disconnect in the story.

Please end the story and bring conclusion to all loose ends.

Iam not a regular watcher of TV serials but once in a while I used to sit with my family and see Kolangal seril by Tiruselvam.
Sorry I dont even put Mr. before his name because he is not even fit for that. He thinks himself as a great director,actor and shows his character as if he is Buddha,Gandhi or Christ and some of the other characters in the serial has no logic behind it and pathetic.
I dont know why actors like Devanai and some other who had done so many good roles in the big screen are still acting in the serial as if they do baseless role for money.

Instead of dragging for some more years and get spoiling his name the director can sit as an asst.dir. with the seniors like Balachander, Bhagyaraj, Vasanth etc.. and ask them to finisn the serial on a good note and learn something from them.
 

if you don't like the serial don't watch it. it's the ability of the director to give this mega serial. well, in the 80's and upto the first of 90's we are all saw only DD serials, usually DD will telecast only serials on tuesday that's also from 7.30 - 8.30 most of the serials will end on the same day, once in a while they will extend the story to another week, Doordarshan also telecasted humour comedy dramas by SV Sekar and others on Sunday morning, after that when SUN tv came to scene they telecast "kai alavu manasu" directed by balachander and other directors, this is the start of mega serial culture. mega serial means telling the story day by day into years. that's why the name mega serial emerged. so, i support the director for his ability to run the serial without losing the view base. ? well done director thiruselvam. 

This Kolangal serial should ended soon in another one month.  

I completely agree that Kolangal mega serial is an utter waste of time. I was following it until everything started falling apart. The characters are depicted very stupid, especially abhi's ex-mother-in-law's character's is meaningless and foolish. i really wonder how long can people of TN digest this senseless characters. Also, Adhi's character was introduced very dynamically with professionalism in mind, but now a days every character is depicted very rigidly with no flexibility.

I cannot take this serial anymore.

Director, please choose end this never ending saga od sentiments and emotions soon and bring some justice to all the characters.

i used to watch every day till dec 2006 and then once in a week till june 2007. and then i watch once in fortnight or month.

believe me still i catch the story. such a useless and life less serial. One thing is there new new character will come and old character suddenly disappears.

What is tholz idea no one knows.

Please do not watch this serial seriously. just for fun and to ki--11 time once in a month or once in two months you can watch still you can catch the story.

i read the recent interview of tv serial director thiruselvam, i am watching the serial kolangal from 2 years back. its a new news for me that the serial is entering 6th year. oh god, without a good team and direction it would not be possible for serial to be in the top of TRP rating.

my congrats to thiruselvam for the work.

abhi devayanai going to re-enter soon ( within 2 weeks as per the director statement ) and the serial also will go in top gear and would soon finish.

Sir actually what are you expecting to gain from this serial that which is longing as a China Wall?People generally watch serials for a time pass and if it is crispy and short they need not waste the time by crying and weeping in front of the stupid box. y dont you understand this? A Story should have few characters and that sholud leave a good and decent ending, where as in your case characters are prolonging every day.I m sure that you dont have a prepared story you are just pulling the serial as much as possible and i think that is the case y many of your characters are quitting out.
Instead of such criticisms you can better start a new serial if you really have the talent of scripting a good one as because this has caused many misunderstandings for the elders and youths while watching the programs.Hope you understand.
Last but not the least its going hectic try to end the serial soon earn money in some other way but not by torturing like this for the past 5 years.Bye. 

The newspaper mentioned few months back that it will end in May. But still it is continuing. Looks like till Devayani finishes her appointments and comes back it will just drag on and on and on. It has now become very boring, and very un-natural. Tholkapian and Aaarthi just fighting - how can it happen when anything can be discussed over the mobile from Abi. Menaka and Adhi just dragging it on, simply useless stuff. Better to finish it very soon. Lot of unbelievable things are happening.

Kolangal is a stupid serial. When the serial started Devyani had her 1st child and recently, she even had her 2nd child. Looks like this serial is going to continue till Devayani turns to great grand mother. Thiruselvam is going out of focus. I have not watched serial more stupid than this. No body should allot the slot for Thiruselvam for his future serial. I think this kolangal will be Thiruselvam's 1st and last serial. Hope after seeing this message, he should end the serial or discontinue.

Hi i read your comment about the tamil serial kolangal......not only kolangal,all tamil serials,mostly mega serials come up with stories which is related to a single person.so the whole story is based upon that particular individual.........not only that vn they start a mega serial they just need a base line of the story..but to air it eveyday they have to create something new which will increase their fans.........and i belive that is what happening to kolangal.......they started it ,,and nw they have some problems to end it.....my personal opinion about these serials is they take our time and they make money out of it..kolangal is something like that......i watched some of its episodes...and then i took a break.and i could follow the story even after a mnth time.........it is really pathetic....

Our director-Thiruselvam is running this show for almost 7-8 years now. Absolute useless.
First of all none of the 4 girls-Abhi, Aarthi, Anandhi, Usha, are successful in what they have been potrayed. Abhi's character is the worst of all- who keeps having patience whatever happens in her life.The director depicts Abhi's character as a loser in family life, career life. But just potrays her as a bold lady handling all these.yet a loser!!So many direction mistakes. countless!!(How could Devayani-a great artist accept to such direction-flaw roles?) Arthi-a highly stupid immatured character that is just throwing negative vibes on ppl watching it.The only ray of good thing here is Anandhi who is not again successful. Usha- Deepa Venkat -a highly talented artist being exploited in this srial.
I seriously dont understand how can a director like Thiruselvam have so much of direction-blunders. Is he trying to make the viewers FOOL? Just because Kolangal is being telecasted at the prime time doesnt mean he can show non-sense.
It is high time he declines the serial or for the well-being of viewers-SUN tv should push the serial to NON-Prime time hours, say by 6.30pm or 11.30am.

This serial is sadistic, with tales of personal vendetta, sister against sister and brother, a serial fit for psychos. I am forced to sit because my family is glued to it during dinner, but honestly, any other program would be better than this. Baseless serial, please end it soon. 

If you don't like KOLANGAL serial, see other serials. But don't give a bad comment. If you do so you are nothing but a SELFISH. And don't think that Devayani or Kolangal serial people are making us fools. If you comment like this, it will equally apply well to all other serials.

Kolangal serial is the No.1 Serial. It teaches us many good things/behaviours. We can learn several things from KOLANGAL like

1) how to be affectionate with family members (like Abi) though some of the other family members are not so. To be affectionate with others you should have a quality of DOING YOUR DUTY WITHOUT EXPECTING ANYTHING IN RETURN. If you expect something, it is not a real affection. Devayani madam proves to be real affectionate. We have to learn this behaviour from her.(and Tholkappian)

2) It teaches us REAL FRIENDSHIP. Through Abi, Tholkappian and Usha, it teaches to be honest,loyal etc.

3) Though Aadhi is quite aggressive with Devayani, Devayani madam had given him several chances for correcting himself even before knowing that he is her brother. She had only defended to safeguard herself from the evil Aadhi. But she did not take revenge on him. This character we should learn from her/serial.

4) Abi madam knows very well that the idiot Selfish Aarthi has done all mischief against Mr.Tholkappian. But Abi is keeping quite and does not show to Aarthi that she knows everything about her because it will wound her and make her to cut the relationship once for all.

5) Usha knowing that the bad, Add* Sandhya is daughter of her good STEP FATHER, She is treating her like her own sister and tries to save herself from Add*. She is showing Motherly affection. This behaviour we should learn. (BECAUSE SHE IS NOT SELFISH)

and so many things...

SO, KOLANGAL SERIAL SHOULD CONTINUE TILL MY LIFETIME (AROUND 2050) and ABI,THOLKAPPIAN should continue to be so BUT may be with gr*y hairs.

If i am out of station i feel very happy not to switch

It is high time that,any rich producer should engage sri.Tiruselvam as well Ms.Devayani to enact in his movie and with the condition that the movie schedule will be finished within 9 years time, until , both should not assigned in any other project in sinnathirai.

novel which was very famous,written in kalaimagal in the easter year , the charecters namely Arivind,Annapoorani and

i agree with u my friend. since wen i was in my college ug i am serial the kolangal title song at 9 til date. now i completed my pg, also working past 2 yrs. still its not getting over. tat too recent days they show that devayani is getting defeated by aathi too much. god knows how long will it take devayani to defeat aathi and when this serial will get over.

The Govt gives you Free TV and it is in your home. The useless homemakers watch only Sun TV, they didn't watch Zee, Vijay, Jaya etc. These channels not showing such a long serails. I am not sure whether these women will watch Epic or Ponniyin Selvan like this. I pray that Mr.Theruselvam should get a cinema chance soon and we will be out of this Kolangal -----.

I have been watching this serial for 3 yrs. Best part of the story was Chellamma and herchildren. Now the story is dragging on beyond any one'as patience. In addition, the commercials take over the serial and virtually 10-12 min of main story is all that we see during each 30 min segment. When you compare it to real life situations there are too many incosistencies and unrealistic situations.

I think time has come to wind the setrial story in a logical and crisp manner.

Why is Bhaskar's character dragging on?

Why is Zilla in the picture?

what is the purpose of dragging Arathi and Anandi's episodes? Is it not time to shorten these episodes so that they are connected to the main story?

It is time for Giri or Rekha to start thinking for themselves?

Alamelu [Nalini] and Arathi's sister-in -law are so mean and evil they remind me of old time mothers-in -law.

Please end the serial with a crisp and exciting end. Bring closure to all important characters. I hope Abhi and her love lorn admirer Abhi get a chance for happiness. Karpagam laughs and smiles for 2 min continuously.Tolzar escapes from Zilla.Tiruvengadam should go to jail. Bhaskar should be convicted for his crimes. the Director Mr.K.Balachander.Since he has some talent
and able to do a Nedum Thodar "Kolangal" for more than
5-6 years and he is doing it. Fine.
Everyone has there own style to do a sinnathirai Thodar and
Our problem is , he is aiming something, and it seems he
compromising himself to the greatest extent and giving
the serial in a lenthy way. Our request is one should
not deviate from the subject story and prolong story telling
methods for a long period.May be he has very many fans from
other centres of Tamilnadu which givng him boost to continue
forever.

We can request the T.V channel to change atleast the
telecasting time to witness a different subject serial
in the prime time.

Also they encourage m*rder, lies, c0nspiracy theories and families br*aking up - at least Devayanai hasn't gone done the route of husband st*aling in her serial but the characters are unbelievable at times - sorry she has gone down that route as well, Athi's sister-in-law!!!!!! who has now been k*lled off - thank god!!!! Why doesn't someone put a st0p to Athi's antics and end the serial for God's Sake!!!!!!  

Please Please Please please end this serial as soon as possible. There are so many work to do. Life will become miserable by watching this serial.
