if you want a movie director job i suggest you to join with a film director as assistant, after getting experience you can try to become a director.
shankar, maniratnam and others always ecouraging new assistants. you should learn the film making techniques and should know how to approach a producer with a story.
now a days, if you have experience as assistant and if you approach leading actors with a one line, you will get the producer easily.
