i duno whether TRP is the reason but in overall the quality is low.

"Waghle kee dunia" what a fantastic drama. ( shah rukh also acted in that serial ) today there is no such serials. 

TRP or Television Rating Points is calcuated by TAM media research and Audience measurement analytics. they are calculating the points by fixing some measurement machines in nearly 7000 houses.

in january 2009, government going to introduce a new agency for calculating the audience viewership and ratings.
BARC or Broadcast audience research council is the new agency going to calculate the ratings from 2009.

so, tv channels to get top TRP points doing whatever they can by giving priority to viewership than quality. 

TRP is not a correct one. they are getting the points only from a small circle of people. this will not be correct and it will be just like "opinion poll" conduct by several newspapers and tv channels before an election. the results will not match with thei poll results. just like trp.

with this wrong TRP rating they boost up even worst tv serial into a big hit. 

good, it's a joke i will say. there are 5 crores people in tamilnadu, but only a few hundreds people deciding the ratings of a tv serial or a programme.
