I listed just three jayam ravi, shanatnu bhagyaraj and jeeva, i see these three heroes as real young heroes of tamil films, others like madhavan are not young heroes.

Shantanu : Acted only one movie. but he is having a chocolate boy look like maddy.
Jayam Ravi : he is good only in his brother's movie. otherwise we have to see his real talent in peraanmai and other movies with director lingusamy etc.,
Jeeva : He is having teen age boy look. thenavattu i laugh a lot after seeing his character. jeeva do movies which suits your get-up.
Ok., Shanthanu will be the new emerging chocolate boy of 2009.

I Like shanthanu very much. all the at present are very crazy for him. so shanthanu is the best of the three. ravi and jeeva is not bad.

my favorite is Dhanush because he proved he can really act in movies like kadhal kondean, pollathavan and pudhupettai. i really like his simplicity. he is one of those natural actors. he can act, dance, sing and also do comedy roles. i heard he is planning to direct a movie.
Out of these three, i would pick Jeeva. it really hard to find a young actor doing roles like Katrathu Tamil, Raam. He was jut brilliant.

in santhosh subramainam he had put on some weight n that had affected his dance...
but now in his marriage photos,he is cute...

I like mostly shanthanu bhakayaraj.because i like his acting.i see his movie Sakkarakati at least ten times.he is acting like a charming type.Atlast i love him very much.he is looking like a sweet baby.iam still love him very much.

without any doubt jayam ravi, he is handsome, he is a talented actor.
shantanu is also good looking but need to concentrate more on acting.
jeeva, good actor.
jayam ravi gets 9 / 10 marks from me
