ilayaraja is not the only best music director , ms viswanathan is a legend, and we forget t m soundarajan, he is having a feeling that no one recognized him for his service to tamil film industry, and cm son azhagiri going to felicitate him soon in madurai. i like to hear the songs of ilayaraja. it made me to think that most of the songs between 1977 to 1991 seems to be his songs, eventhough some other music directors might composed songs, but youngsters like me will think that it has been composed by ilayaraja, because he has dominated the field for nearly 2 decades. i like songs like rakkama kaya thatu, senthalampoovil, raja rajathi rajan intha raja and many songs 

I am really very thank to Mr Ram to findout this website. Ilayaraja music is my heart. I collect lot of feelings from raja's music to write poem. He is a wonderful music director in tamil industry. He is not doing music as a tamil film business. music is his life. thats why raja have lot heart in his music. i again thank to ram .

he is real legend and master of music. we should praise talent for giving hit songs with a few singers like SPB, Yesudas, Chitra, Janaki, P susela etc., now a days composers using variety of singers and new singers for each films. even they are introducing new singers for each songs. if a film have 5 songs then there will be 10 new voices will be in the album. it's not great one. but ilayaraja hits are forever 

i have different doubt. may i know how to enter into this industry. see it will take more time to enter. could u please anybody tell ?

He has already composed music for a number of films. But now he has come to Bangalore to set tunes for films including Sunil Kumar Desai's Sa re ga ma, Chandru's Prem Kahaani, Saiprakash's Baagyaada Balegaara and Srinivasaraju's Nannavanu.

ilayaraja is back to his form, for some years back he not did large number of compositions. but now he is concentrating on tamil, malayalam and now in kannada too.

I agree that ilayaraja is the best in terms of talents. We do respect his talent and his age. I am nowhere before the vast experience, talent, fame, and popularity that he posses. But really hitting the market and becoming the best in the industry now is his son "YUVAN SHANKAR RAJA". He is now acclaimed to be the best. We as youngsters are moved to listen his music and we always are awaiting his music albums to be released. Now following Yuvan there is AR Rahman and then is Harris Jayaraj who are the contenders. Everyone is doing their best.
