This show is totally a white collar cheating, when some one sms a contestnt the sender is bcoming poorer and asianet gaining a lot for example each sms sent to star singer is appx costing 3-4 rupeee depending the service providers,now we will keep it as 4 rupees each, the service provider gets 2 rupees from each sms and balance 2 rupees given to asianet, so calculate the sms they get each day for each contestants, where as the flats is given by the confident group who is pucca business man,he uses the same start singer for his ad campaign and gets much publicity through asianet,where as one flat what they say it as 1 crore worth is hardly costing the cofident group not more than 10 lakhs ,

in short the sender is looser by all means

asianet is gainer in all means so sender better not loose than any gain

you should understand one thing, it's a business , they are not running a tv channel to give away their money. there is nothing wrong in it. if you are interested you don't send sms, they are not compelling you to send sms. it's all business and they are there to make profit.

i think nothing wrong with asianet or the advertiser giving flats. better you just watch the show and don't send sms. is it ok for you ? 

though our mother tongue is tamil we never miss the asianet star singer show.my grandma was a carnaticsinger and i am also learning vocal now.
last year winner najim is a fantastic singer.
the show itself is very grand with beautiful stage and sorroundings.
all our last year judges as well as this year's are very appreciable.they are very strict with their comments but which they point out without hurting them.at the same time they are not partial.i wish all judges should see this programme.
the contastants are very lucky to sing before this great judges.
and finally i suggest all anchors should watch miss ranjini.

Idea Star Singer is a very good show with a perfect blend of Legendary judges, Experienced Orchestras, perfect anchor, deserving participants and a wonderful audience. The exposure and importance given to the show is unbelievable. Like, some people must b knowing of some participants getting a chance to sing in 'Indian Idol', and also getting international exposure, singing with the legends.....n al. Truly this type of a platform is truly needed for young aspirants like me. I think they should make auditions everywhere (not only in Kerala).Thats my point of view regarding the show. Wat say?!!

Yesterday's elimination was absolutely boring due to cheating of Mr.Pramods' mind .You Renjini & Amrita can't compensate for that.Actually you people were playing like a match for your sake and your business promotion by impressing upon the viewers on the assumption that it was funny. Did you think the desperate mind of the boy at any moment of that show?It was more shameful and given a hurting feel.So please do not blame the viewers by taking such a cruel method of elimination.It should be curtailed. 

it's a fine program to enhance the talent of the youngesters. The participants of star singer like Somadas, it's a better chance to highlight their talent, perhaps if they can't attend this contest they will never get a stage like this.

rauf, I totally agree with you.All these damn channel shows are filling their/mobile service provider's bank account. its good that such shows help in bringing up singers, but the worst part is most of those who send sms's spending their money hardly know whats happening behind the scenes.there are hundreds of below average income people like coolies,farmers etc who fills in their mobile just for bringing up their favorite star's rank.this may not seem wrong if you think from channel people's end, but for people who think from channel viewer's end, its irritating.hm,there is'nt much I or you can do other than creating awareness among people, after all at the end of the day money is what matters!!

SHOCKING IN-TAKE OF THE CONTESTANT NAMED "VIVEKANAND" !!!!
We are a group ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED after seeing the 9th elimination episode. We are not regular audience of IDEA STAR SINGER 2008-09. But happened to see the contestant named "VIVEKANAND" singing in the 9th stage.
& UNBELIEVABLE to see that contestant marching to the next round - who sang the songs WORST & didnt even complete half of one of the song he sang.
We know the elimination is based on SMS. But, that contestant's in-take surely means there is NO PLACE FOR MUSIC. MUSIC FAILED. & that contestant's star power won.
We are sorry for the rest of the contestants who are trying there maximum sincerely. & we are sorry for the 2 contestants who were eliminated in that stage. One deserve to go to the next round in place of VIVEKANAND.
Surely, VIVEKANAND DOESN'T TO BE IN THE NEXT ROUND.
We think there is no meaning in going on watching this show. Its better seeing some other decent programs.
We dont think this will be happen in any of the reality shows.
Wont be surprised if that contestant wins the mega prize.
& Plzzzz change the anchor of the show. We think the anchor is partial to some of the contestants. The anchor was the one who was most happy when that contestant was in. & didn't find any feelings for the contestant who was out. Every actions of the anchor on the stage looks FUNNY. Plzzzz change the anchor.
We are not blaming any person. But,blaming the format of the show. The format suggests that its not necessary that a good contestant can win the prize as its based on sms.
Last year's IDEA STAR SINGER was SUPERB. That kept very high standards. But,this year's is not at all keeping any standard.
As every channels are focussing on reality shows, try to keep some standards.
& If ASIANET is only targetting business, then surely you are doing a great job.
Infact, IDEA STAR SINGER 2008 SUCKS !!!!!!!!

Every day v watch Idea Star Singer. Judges shows the partiality. When Arya Singh clasical Song Judges give 73marks. When vivekanand sang that song judges give 86 marks. For both songs judges give almost same comments. Why did ranjani also shows favour to vivekanand. This is wrong. The anchor and judges must show eaulity to all contenstant. what show is this.Especially sharat and ranjani shows the partiality. 

Is idea star singer programme is SMS show Ya talented show. If is this talented show One round Vivekanand not sang well he did not give another chance. But you gie another chance and ranjni said : Ningal sangeetathe snehikunnavar anegil vivekandane vote kodukkananm. Is she know what is sangeet. Aise anchor ko kada kar rakha hai. Very cheap acting. She did not know what she shows.She shows the partiality to contestant.Mr .sharat is also shows the partiality.Any body get flat v have no problem. But v desire that talented person must get first.

Everyday v watch idea star siger. It is a Sms show. When vivekand did not sang he give other oppurtunity. If you not give importance to performance then what is performance round. Whe v watch vivekannd he always sang closed eyes. He did not look the audience. He sang good or bad he get good marks. Ho sharat always critisize other contestant except viveknand. Is he gave anything. I mean rishwat. About the ranjani what we say. V dont like her. What over acting she is. she dont know what she doing. 

Hi judges in idea star singer are bias. They are treating arya very badly. Today arya was criticised badly for her remix round. The meaning of remix means to change the original song. If the judges dont like remix songs why the hell you are keeping such a round. If i was in place of arya i would have slapped sharath sir . He is just a small music director and not an oscar winner . And pls inform everyone that gayathri is already married . so pls call her MRS gayathri it would be better.

I am watching Idea Star Singer regularly. But now a days its feeling very very boring programme.

I had watched the one of the episode of Vivekanandan, its one of shameful, as its a reality show. After that the judges especially Mr.Sharat and Hanger Ms.Ranjini both are blamely supporting him. Sharat gives above 20 marks for his each & every songs. But Rahul and Prashob both are doing a Fantastic job but Sharat give them only below 20 (i.e. 18, 19 etc). These types of partiality is tolerable. You (Ashianet) do not think, the audiances are fool.

I think, the organiser of Idea Star Singer would like to give 1st price to Mr.Vivekanandan only.

I hereby request you to please stop SMS in the final, as the right person can win.

I think this is not a realistic show, its only a private show of some of Judges.

I am a regular viewer of this programme,but the last elimination round ,after the 12th stage was disappointing.Reason is - Somadass who ha snot learned music in his life goes in to the next stage and Arya is left out and u say it is because of sms , i suppose then it is not a talent hunt show it is more sms hunt show and people who knows him will keep on sms ing him as he is their fav due to other reasons .It is true that some songs which he sings are touching,but u see classical all no where to be compared and then moreover what is the value for the people who strive hard in learning music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Judges ae too much partial.
It seems like sharath has been offered some bribe from vivekanadan if he get first prize.
He is purposely pushing down prashob and Rahul who sings very good.
Vivekanandan watevr he sings sarath wil give above 20.
This is not the right way to judge.
This reality show is becoming partiality show.. 

please avoid renjini as the anchor for the iss 2008.she don't know what to speak about others and she always shows biased to vivek and gayathri.eventually this will affect their sms.today what she told to somadas in the kacheri round was very very bad.she should go out from this competition first. 

i don't want to hide my name. but i am a suppoter of idea star singer 2008. so i have the right to know in what basis sankaran give 3 marks to somu. we all know somu doesn't have the background of classical music . then why he given 3 marks to somu. celebrity guest have to support all the contest in iss . then why sankaran do like this. iss have any hidden idea to disqualify somu. if u have such idea pls reveal infront of us . dont bring such celebrity guest like sankaran.

Dear Producer,

I am a regular viewer of this programme ever since it was introduced. Also I am a self made carnatic musician through listening as I did not have the opportunity to learn the art, being abroad through out my working life time. I have been able to perform music concerts on various stages in the place where I was residing before finally retiring and settling down in India.

While I vest the whole resposibilities on Mr. Somadas for his failure to perform well in this round, being a competition, I would also like to express my embarrassment and frustration on the way he was awarded the marks by the Celebrity Judge. I do not think any judge has so far awarded such a lowest mark ever since such a competition started. It is well known to everyone that Somadas does not have the foundation in carnatic music, which, he himself has emphasized on many occasions. Therefore, the awarding of the marks should have been on an encouraging basis rather than leading the performer to a disappointing level. I totally agree with the opinion expressed by Sarath that Somu must have endevoured from the very beginning, at least to learn one Krithi and remained practiced very well. He has ecxelled on other rounds very well and he has the potential as well. At least, these capacities must have been taken into consideration while the Celebrity judge awarded the mark, while the usual judges were much more compassionate in this line.

namitha,u r right. judges have hidden agenda,and they don't care who sings well.sankaran,u did too cruel to that poor somu. your third class grading of 3 marks,that is a shame to asianet too.In the history of idea star that will stay as a black mark in the history,and that is only reason malayalees will remember that sankaren, 

Yes that is black day in star singer.He should have given a basic mark.Withput having the background of classical music he took the challenge to go for it.
Even when vivek stoped singing in the middle all the judeges gave a minimum mark.
The judge was just showing his self pride that he is a great musician by giving this much shameful mark i thnk..

It appears Asianet is lending a deaf ear to the comments. There is a saying in malayalam:-
"Sankaran veendum thengemel thanne"

The same story continues as far as the idea star singer is converned.

Yet another day, the so called great musician(Vivekanand) falters while rendering improvisation but is upgraded with 86 marks.He missed the track,forgot the set swaras and remained silent, letting the accompaniments to carry on for two or more rounds. It appears that Idea/Asianet have already chosen the star singer in Vivekanand.

I am a lay man and I am unaware of the criteria in rendering the marks. I feel it is total injustice.

Vivek is the best singer-no doubt-.Somu sang most of the songs beautifully except classical songs and that may be the reason he was eliminated. Prasobh is the next good singer. Idont' know why the judjes reduced Vivek's marks inthe last round.Is it because that he stopped singing at one stage? You judjes gave 40 marks only in that round. It is fare because you gave according to his singing.He proved his excellence in the next 2 rounds. Then why did you judjes reduced his marks in the last round. I s it purposeful? Ragam, THALAM Layam, Voice in every thing he is perfect. His voice control is far far better than every one.  

Why did one of the judge give 3 marks to Somadhas who is a contestend of Idea star singer-2008? 

First of thnaks to Asianet & Idiea for thig big funtastic & romantic shows .
I was seen the last elimination round where the last two participant of somu and viviek and i very abset that cky the unlucky person out. May be'coz of less mark in classical round . Ok we accept that. One of my suggection is that, some of the judges & anchor (ranjni) is supporting & favouring some contestant, why this type of favourtisim, is they are playing any business behind this ( any fixing after winning the show , like cricket match fixing) OR any lov affair with anchor and favourit singer. it realy too bad. I hope that to think asianet to do better changes while selecting anchor & judges in next shows.
Ask ranjini & sharat to serch any other job & not to take our patiant.

Good that you have now removed audiance reactions on Judges comments and marks. We were all anticipating problems with that.
Now a new thing has been interduced. After a song is finished,
Sri Sarath prisiding over other two Judges discuss the performance of the contestants. Is that means the individual Judges mind gets influnanced,probable by the leader Sri Sarath. You should leave the Judges to have thier own independent assessment. Every one knows that Sri Sarath always wants to show his ONE UPMAN SHIP and that he is above all and probably he feels that he is the only person in the whole music world who knows about SRUDHI.When other great singers like Sri Unnikrishnan or music Director of repute Osepachan and others like Sreekumar or Namudhuri do not comment about Shrudi Sri Sarath find faults with Srurudhi invariable in all the singers
Season 4 programme otherwise doing very well with experts Judges like M.P.Sreekumar and the great and humble CHITRA. Chitras choice as a Judge is excellant 

why don,t u start a new talent hunt for yester years veterans who are above 40to 70. they will sing old melodies with more clarity , conviction and dedication. Give them the chance to sing and perform.Sure, I would be the first to register my name,viz:thamban nair, phone mob and i love mukesh(HINDI) A M RAJA(TAMIL) P JAYACHANDRAN,KP UDHAYABHANU(mal).
College days Ihave been awarded for my best singing.Now I am 58 and working IN thrissur. 

i like idea star singer because they teach us lots of things and renjini my god what a star!!!.i watch this program without a day missing.  

i am fan of malayalam songs, eventhough i can't understand the meaning of malayalam words, i love malayalam songs very much and yesudas and unnimenon are my favorite singers.

i use to watch star singer whenever i got time, ajmal babu a contestant in this programme is singing simply superb, his voice is wonderful and marvellous 

change sreekumar, so that contestants can able to perform well. Mr. sreekumar is actually joking by making fool of our good c talented contestants. Mr.sarath also supporting sreekumar for his dirty commnents. Or otherwise keep saying them behave like a good judges, neat judgement and avoid partialilty and motivate the contestants in very positive manner . Don't make fool them by telling them dance like this and like that. 

why does ideastar need 3 judges?...all three of them talk to each other an give the same marks..only keep chitra...
