Karnataka film chamber restricting other language movies releasing in Karnataka. There are lot of restrictions !
Why this situation ? In Kannada there was lot of legends like Rajkumar sir and others, but now the industry is not giving any quality movies, so people watching tamil, telugu, hindi movies, but the karnataka film chamber restricting the release of other language movies in karnataka.
The recent one is, Hindi movie Ghajini starring Aamir khan released in nearly 60 theatres. But, KFCC allowed only 13 single screen theatres and 4 multiplexes in Bangalore city for non-kannada movies.
Ghajini released in fourty theatres of Old Mysore area
Raichur, Gulbarga, Koppal, Bidar, Shimoga, Chitradurga, Tumkur everything the same result, released throughout Karnataka and the box office collection is more than the kannada movies released on the same day or week.
The KFCC now asked the distributors to stop the screening of ghajini.
Why this ? what wrong with producers ? why they f ear for other language movies ?
Whethere karnataka is not having the capability to produce a hit movie ? or people not interested to watch kannada movies?

we can't say like that, it's there right to protect their business. they feel, tamil movies dominating their theatres and the release of kannada movies is suffering due to this. so they put some restrictions.
in tamilnadu there is no kannada movie or telugu movie dominating us, but we should also accept that lot of telugu and malayalam movies is getting remaked here.
example : all the jayam raja movies, vijay's ghilli, pokiri, rajni's chandramukhi, kuselan etc., etc.,
but the thing in kannada is, the film producers there even protest against the remakes, which should be avoided, they can remake a hit movie of tamil or malayalam or hindi or telugu with their own actors.

no, this is wrong, People watch kannada movies, because i have seen Punjabiis watching kannada movie in a multiplex.Kannada movies really can rule the indian film industry but there are people who do not now The ABCD of a movie direction, story, screen play. The producer who wants a real hit movie should loook after every. steps of movie making.
