New Delhi, Delhi, India and San Diego, United States, Wednesday, --
UTV and DivX, Inc., the digital entertainment company that created the
DivX media format, announced a partnership on Tuesday to make
available more movies to Indian consumers by offering a range of
premium movie content in the high-quality DivX format. The content is
licensed from UTV of India, a content provider that owns distribution
rights to hundreds of Hollywood and Bollywood titles. All titles are
encoded in high-quality, secure DivX format, compatible with millions
of DivX-Certified consumer electronics devices from major
manufacturers. Titles that will be available in DivX for the Indian
market include: "The Myth," "Swades," "Main
Meri Patni Aur Woh," "Sin City," "Unleashed"

format will give our consumers more options. Our goal is to enable our
users to enjoy more content, quality and value in entertainment
whenever and wherever they choose."
"By partnering with UTV, DivX can continue to expand and reach
the global community in effort to create and build a better media

several movies to fit on a single DVD, and by bundling premium content
from UTV with popular DivX-Certified consumer electronics devices such
as DVD players, we can work together to improve the digital media
experience and allow more users to enjoy higher-quality content in
more places."
About DivX, Inc.
DivX creates products and services designed to improve the experience
of media. Our first product offering was a video
compression-decompression software library, or codec, which has been
actively sought out and downloaded over 180 million times in the last
four years, including over 50 million times during the last twelve
months. We have since built on the success of our codec with other
consumer software, including the DivX Player application.
We distribute this software from our website, DivX.com, which averaged
over five million unique visitors per month during the first quarter
of 2006. We also license our technologies to consumer hardware device
manufacturers and certify their products to ensure the interoperable
support of DivX-encoded content. Over 36 million DivX-Certified
hardware devices have been shipped worldwide, including approximately
9.8 million devices reported to us by our customers during the first
quarter of 2006. In addition to technology licensing to consumer
hardware device manufacturers, we currently generate revenue from
software licensing, advertising and content distribution.

Krrish
Review :
Hrithik at his best in 'Krrish'
By Subhash K. Jha, Indo-Asian News Service
Film: "Krrish"; Starring: Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra,
Rekha, Naseeruddin Shah; Directed by: Rakesh Roshan; Rating: ***
Is it a bird, it is a plane? No it's Hrithik Roshan!!! It's not enough
to say that Hrithik is one of the best actors of the country.
Extraordinary is the word for the measured manner in which he glides
through the air to the beat of Rajesh Roshan's rather-vapid songs...
or cuts through the breeze to the stunning special effects created
with a verve so-far unknown to Indian cinema."Krrish" takes
us into the world of masked fantasy where the stakes are incredibly
high... as high as the computer-generated leaps that the super-hero
takes as he tries to save the world from the clutches of a
megalomaniacal villain with a glint in his eyes that can only belong
to Naseeruddin Shah.
