equally big flops. If we sit and analyse our Industry and the method of our madness, we will realise that we are responsible for what we produce. I have nothing against commercial cinema, infact I lap it up, but often we have the deja vu feeling. That is because very few Directors want to experiment with new ideas and thoughts. They are apprehensive about a new kind of trend till they see someone else trying it out. Then you will have a series of the same kind of film. It has been found that Bollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood are becoming elusive to the aspiring artists with no contacts in the industry. A pity! If the great Director's care to look around for talent they will find heaps of it right outside their prefered circle. Why is it that we who are gifted need to knock so many times before anyone even gives us a glance let alone a chance. That is where we have to take the example of the west and ape them in their talent search. Any wonder they are where they are today. For some one like me with no filmy background but a sound brain and creative ability, how does one propose to discover me? A well qualified writer with a humour to make the most serious of the serious burst into laughter, how do I get to exercise my talent if the world doesnt know I exist. I dont say that we should be spoon fed, but there should be some means either through the net or the papers or any other way to give us a fair audition. Is that too much to ask?? I have written two beautiful comedies with sizzling dialogues a youthful theme which will keep the young and old well entertained, unfortunately it is yet to be be read by the production companies. A pity! Why do I say 'a pity'? Being the character I am, the comedies will not sleep for long, it will be lanced some day. I believe that when some one is sure and confident of their work it will reach the right hands come what may. I would like to say that not all Directors are inaccessible to me. There is one who is a wonderful support but unfortunately our project needs finance and thats where the producers are needed. The title of this article is 'Dare to Dream' that is what I am doing and will continue to do. If not Bolly wood or Kollywood, I will haunt Holly wood for success. Too bad our own country does not give us the chance to develop our talent. Any wonder our youth are ending up in the west for recognition and success.
