Nassiri Brings His Musical Message of Peace to the World
Singer-Songwriter Will Film Videos for Hit Single: (Press release from Business Wire
India)
Los Angeles, United States, Thursday, November 09, 2006 -- (Business
Wire India) -- His goal is nothing less than world peace and he's
going about it one song, and one country, at a time.
Nassiri's remarkable journey has brought him to the Pyramids of Egypt,
the holy city of Jerusalem, the Eiffel Tower and the Brandenburg Gate.
He has traveled to Egypt, Israel, Palestine, Russia, Germany and
France to shoot videos for his inspirational song, "Love Sees No
Color," part of the Iranian-born U.S. citizen's "Cinematic Peace"
initiative, in which he employs local directors and children singing
the anthem in their native language to promote global unity. And now
the amazing Nassiri is about to embark on a second leg of his world
tour, starting this week, which will take him to the Great Wall of
China in Beijing, the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, the Taj Mahal in India
and, for the final stop, the Statue of Liberty in New York City.
"We are using music to communicate a message of peace to the world,"
says Nassiri, who moved to the U.S. at age 20, launching a career as
one of the country's largest wholesalers of designer labels and a
major real estate developer in his current Las Vegas home. "It can be
a universal force of change for the better."
Nassiri has traveled around the world to deliver that message, meeting
with world leaders like Pope Benedict XVI, Nelson Mandela in South
Africa and Shimon Peres when he visited Israel. A
Muslim-turned-Catholic who has studied many of the major philosophies
and religions, including Judaism, the Kabalah, Buddhism, Hinduism and
Confucianism under the world's major gurus and masters, Nassiri is a
believer that "all the religions of the world take you to the same
place ... a single union with God." While in Jerusalem, he prayed at
the Wailing Wall on the day after Rosh Hashana, a mosque to usher in
the holy month of Ramadan and at the Stations of the Cross.
That world philosophy is expressed in the music on his debut album,
Love Sees No Color, which will be released in 2007 on his own Nassiri
Music label. The title track earned airplay on some of the biggest
radio stations in the country as the #1 Most Added track at Adult
Contemporary and Triple A formats when it came out in September.
Despite his success, Nassiri believes music to be a "healer that if
used correctly can hopefully bring peace to the world." During his
month-long journey in October, he filmed at the Tower of David in
Jerusalem, while in Palestine, he went on location in Jesus'
birthplace of Bethlehem. All the footage, including material shot
behind-the-scenes around the globe, will be included as extra material
included on the CD release of the album.
All proceeds from the title track "Love Sees No Color" will go to
Nassiri's non-profit "Love Sees No Color" Foundation. "We have to
reduce military budgets around the world," he says. "If we can take
10% of each country's expenditures in that area, we can raise $100
million for education, jobs and public welfare. I'm thinking outside
the box. Only peace, love and harmony can save humanity. Music is
meant to heal, mentally, physically and spiritually. It is a force and
a vibration that can change civilization for better or worse. A lot of
the chaos in the world today results from music. That's why it's
important to send a positive message.
"I challenge you to listen to this album three times," says Nassiri,
who claims his music has cured a radio broadcaster with HIV in South
Africa as well as ailments ranging from tumors to attention deficit
disorder. "And it will completely transform your thought process."
