Director Gautham vs Karan Johar - Kollywood vs Bollywood
(by :

I recently watched a tamil movie, starring kamal Hasan - "vetayadu
villayadu".A film by Gautham who has also directed films like KaaKha
Kaakha, Minnale and so on. This film which iam talking abt is a
thriller. This is about a police officer who faces challenge from
serial killer duo and the story is all abt how he catches these
killers. After watching this film, i found KANK of Karan Johar stands
nowhere near the film. Director Gautham has put in lot of hardwork and
has immensely used his brain to make this film a great success, but in
case of KANK its simply a story which talks about relationships and i
find no use of brain in this film but still the kind of hype it got
from the media and others is unbelievable. According to me Gautham is
undoubtedly better than karan johar coz success of karan's film
depends mainly on the image of the starcast. Here is a man who solely
believes in the use of his brain to make his films a grand success,
and there is one man who easily gets his hands on success simply by
using star image in his films. Like this there are so many Tamil
movies which are better than Hindi movies. Though i belong to Chennai,
i equally like watching Hindi movies but when it comes to success
stories of a movie, people should give credit to a director who has
genuinely put in his whole body and mind into the film. There are so
many hindi movies with only romance and relationships as part of their
storyline but are a box office hit. I really cant understand why karan
johar's film's are given such hype before their release. The majority
of his film's are based on relationships which requires no use of
brain. The kind of hype and popularity which was given to Karan's
recent film KANK is unbelievable .Few channels even showcased debate on
this film which purely talked about "post marital relationships".
Everybody should realise how people are making easy money on useless
films. I know that "Titanic is a incomparable movie", but still even
it had a hint of romance in it but think of the hard work put into the
movie by its director to make this movie a award winning picture. Most
of the Hindi films carrying only romance between the hero and the
heroine easily make it to the box office. People should wake up to
this easy success and should start watching sensible movies and which
deserve to be watched. .
